Lunch at Bulgogi Brothers

Last Sunday, we had lunch at Bulgogi Brothers (located at the new wing of Alabang Town Center). It was a surprise treat of Kuya Bimbo and Ai for the family. Last Sunday lang kasi kami ulit nagkasama sama as a family eh. The last time we were together was during Chezca's post birthday celebration pa. Yun nga lang, incomplete pa rin kami. Chezca kasi is busy reviewing for her exams while JC is working abroad.

It was my first time to eat here. In fairness, ang daming tao ha. We still waited to be seated considering na 1:00pm na.

Here is the restaurant's facade...

When we went inside, ayos na ang table and chairs namin complete with the high chairs and kiddie plates and utensils for the kulilits. Ang comment ko lang is masyadong mataas ang table nila so medyo hirap kumain ang kambal kahit naka-high chair na sila.

They gave us a free appetizer plate...

Sweet corn, sweet potatoes and quail eggs

and some side dishes too...

Their water is awesome! It has sliced cucumber and lemon in it...

We ordered the following:

Seoul Style Bulgogi...

Sogogi Japchae...

Haemul Paejon (seafood pancake)...

I only got to taste the Sogogi Japchae noodles and Haemul Paejon. They were very tasty and flavorful. I also love their appetizer plate specially the sweet potatoes.

The things I don't like in our dining experience here are (1) crowded space as in excuse me in every movement and (2) slow service wherein every requests needs a lot of follow-up from the servers.

In terms of the food cost, it is expensive to eat there. What do you expect di ba since it is one of the restaurant of the Bistro Group - Friday's, Italianni's, Fish & Co., etc.

Overall, from 1 to 10, I give my dining experience a 7.

To end this blog post, lemme share you our family picture...

Sunday Dinner at BBQ Chicken & Beer

Last Sunday after our monthly grocery shopping, we ate dinner at BBQ Chicken & Beer.

Hehehe! I told him na punta kami sa Molito, Alabang and try namin yung BBQ Chicken & Beer. Mukhang masarap kasi eh.

I dunno kung ano ito. Para siyang pickled raddish. I didn't bother to try it kaya di ko alam ang lasa.

These are fried noodles. Ayos lang, walang lasa. Hahaha! Pero the kulilits liked it.

We ordered the following:

House Ice Tea. At first parang naghesitate akong inumin kasi kakaiba ang color. Hehehe! Pero when I tried it, ang sarap niya. Hindi ganung katamis and lemony ang flavor. And ang mura niya ha for a bottomless iced tea.

Col-Pop Chicken (Comfortable and enjoyable popcorn style chicken with high quality breast meat & cold beverage you bring just one hand). I ordered this for the kulilits and naubos naman nila. I think this is more for take out, parang bagay dalhin sa movie house.

P 85.00

Fried Onion Rings (Fresh onion frying use secret battering powder & seasoning. It's fresh & delicious come out with Green Onion fried). For this one, kakaiba ang batter niya. Super sarap and hindi nakakasawa. Kahit nga walang dip, carry na eh.

Paris Chicken (pan fried wings with our special spicy soy sauce and add up peppers to maximize its taste. Our brand new menu for chicken lovers). This is my order and hindi ako nagsisi.

P 255.00

Classic Chicken Bulgalbi Set (Korean traditional and popular flavor made with tender meat barbecued well on flame broiler). This is hubby's order. Nasarapan naman siya. According to him, parang salt and pepper chicken lang. I tried it, di ko masyadong type. Medyo nalansahan ako maybe because walang masyadong seasoning kasi.

In fairness, mura siya ha. Di inabot ng P1,000.00 bill namin.

Wait! Hehehe.

Before I end this blog post, here is our souvenir picture (pasensiya na kay Chris at maypagkapilyo yan kaya hindi nakatingin sa camera)...

That's it! Try niyo na rin to eat here...

Food Trip: Korea BBQ Dona Dona

One night at Makati Avenue, my hubby and I searched for a restaurant to eat dinner. Korean ang trip ng lolo niyo. Feel niya kumain ng Bee Bim Bap and sabi niya Korean food is healthy daw. So we ended up at Korea BBQ Dona Dona.

Here is the entrance of the restaurant.

Inside the resto. Medyo old na yung kanilang furnitures and as you can see in the picture, halos Koreans ang kumakain (naturamente, Korean restaurant nga eh.).

The sidings that come with the food that we ordered. Dilis, Sayote, Kimchi, Spicy Labanos and Egglpant.  I liked the sayote and the eggplant.

I ordered Jap Chae. I was surprised na may beef pala siya. What was indicated in the menu is that vegetables lang ang meron siya. Anyhow, it taste really good.

My hubby naman ordered Dol Sot Bee Bim Bap. All vegetables siya.

Here is hubby very happy and ready to attack!

Ang hatol: The food is good but the serving is small considering the cost (super pricey siya).
