Food Discovery: Frontier Etali Flavoured Crispy Cream Wafers

I really love discovering new food. Not only because of my kids, but because I'm like that ever since. I don't know if nabanggit ko na sa inyo ito. Mahilig kasi ako magtry ng mga bagong food and mga bago sa mata ko.

For snacks, one of my favorite is wafer. Mahilig talaga ako diyan, particulary vanilla flavor (I'm not a chocolate kind of girl. Hehe!). So one time, at the supermarket, I spotted Frontier Etali Flavoured Crispy Cream Wafers. Naaliw ako. Iba iba ang mga flavor. May chocolate, orange, vanilla, strawberry and matcha. I bought all flavors except chocolate. Hehe. Masarap sila lahat!

And guess what? Very affordable siya compared sa ibang imported wafers. It only costs P55.50 each. Oks na oks sa budget di ba?

Food Discovery: Jack n' Jill Calbee Jagabee Potato Fries

From my latest trip to the supermarket last Saturday, I discovered a new product of Jack n' Jill. I don't know ha kung bago lang talaga siya, kasi it was my first time to see this product.

It's the Jack n' Jill Calbee Jagabee...

Since I wanted to try it, I bought all the 3 flavors - Classic Salted, Garlic and Cheese flavor. Yes, ganun talaga ako. Lahat talaga ng flavors binili ko para itry. Hahaha!

I first opened the classic salted flavor pack. Siyempre, you always try the classic flavor first! And the verdict? It's a yum yum!!! Kitang kita mo na real potatoes siya. Para lang siyang french fries na air fried.

The only drawback with this product is medyo bitin ang laman ng isang mini pack. Siguro ako I can eat 3 mini packs in one sitting. I tried checking the nutrition facts at the back, medyo mataas ang calorie content niya. Maybe that explains why konti ang laman ng isang mini pack.

Anyway, with the price naman, P62.00 lang siya for the stand up pouch (contains 5 mini packs). Pwede na di ba? Considering na real potatoes siya. Para ka na rin bumili ng large fries sa Mc Do. Hehe.

I haven't tried the other flavors yet. Pero I'm sure masarap din yun. I'll definitely buy packs of these products in my next grocery shopping! =)

Sale Alert: S&R March Sale

I just discovered it yesterday when I went to S&R Alabang to buy additional souvenirs for Christoff's dedication. I'll probably go there to check out if the kiddie chairs are on sale because I need to buy 2 pieces to replace the broken ones. =)

A Productive Chinese New Year

Good evening guys! Before it's too late, I just want to greet you a happy and prosperous Chinese New Year!!!

I'm very productive today. I've accomplished a lot of things with the help of my hubby and I'm very very happy. 

So what did hubby and I accomplished today?

1. We went to our future home at BF Resort Village (BFRV) and met with the contractor for the renovation of our house. We plan to start the renovation within February. Hopefully, the quotation that the contractor will submit us will be within our budget so that we could move in before June this year.

2. We also met with the brother of our future home's previous owner for the turnover of all utility bills. Our next project for the utility bills is to transfer it to the name of hubby.

3. We went to BFRV Clubhouse to transfer the homeowner's membership to our name. We paid P1,000.00 for the membership and P1,560.00 for the association dues for the whole year. We already paid the association dues for the whole year because they have a promo - association dues for one month and 2 car stickers are free. So cheap, right?

4. At the BFRV Clubhouse, we also inquired about the requirements for the house renovation. We already gathered all the documents that we need to fill out and the guidelines that we need to follow.

5. We went to the sector treasurer of our street in BFRV to inquire about the sector's association dues - how much is the monthly dues and if we need to pay for it already even if we haven't move in yet.

6. We checked out Ysabel's Garden and inquired about their rates. It's one of my choices for Christoff's dedication. But when I saw the place, I am more considering it to be a venue for Christoff's first birthday.

7. We went to Chef something something buffet restaurant to check the place and their menu. But when we went there, the restaurant's ambiance is not nice and their food is very ordinary. It's a total NO NO for us so we just removed it from our list of venues.

8. We went to Puregold supermarket at Moonwalk to do our monthly grocery shopping since we won't be able to grocery shop this weekend. We spent a lot of time there specially in the cashier. It's nice to shop at Puregold supermarket since they have a lot of items and their prices are relatively low compared to other supermarkets. The only drawback  is the long waiting time at the cashier since the bagger really counts the number of items and should match the number of items indicated in the receipt.

9. After our grocery shopping, we already went home. Hubby with the Kulilits had a movie marathon while I arranged the grocery items in the cupboard.

10. I updated all our records in the laptop after arranging the groceries.

11. I searched the internet for other venues here in the south for Christoff's dedication.

12. Lastly, I found a time to blog. =)

It's such a busy Chinese New Year right??? How about you, how did you spend your Chinese New Year?

Weeee!!! Groceries!!!

Right now, sa bahay ni Mama G ang nakatira lang ay sila ni Papa G at isang maid plus dalawang aso. Pero kahit kakaunti lang sila sa bahay, walang mintis pa rin yan sa pag-grocery. Para bang parating nagreready sa end of the world sa bahay sa dami ng mga pinamimili. Kaya nga ba ang kapatid kong si Paolo, tuwang tuwa kapag umuuwi ng bahay dahil nakakapag-grocery siya sa mini-grocery ni madir.

Last night, sumama kami kay Mama G mag-grocery kasi hindi nakalimutan ni Ian ang pagpunta sa supermarket na prinomise sa kanya ni madir.

Me: Ian, where are we going?

Ian: Supermarket!

Me: What are you going to buy in the supermarket?

Ian: Chuckie...Yakult...Wafer Sticks...

Kaya ayan, naipamili kami ni Mama G ng ilang mga items...

Kanina, I had a conversation with Mama G...

Me: Ma, mukhang namiss mong mamili ng marami ha kasi pati kami pinamili mo.

Mama G: Bakit, marami pa rin naman akong mamili ha? 

Me: Sabagay...

Mama G: Kaya ang daddy mo, huwag akong hahanapan ng ipon.

Me: Hehe.

Mama G: Sabi nga ng daddy mo kagabi mukhang marami ka na naman nadampot kahapon kasi panay thank you mo.

Me: Ano sabi mo?

Mama G: Ano pa nga ba?

Me: Hindi naman... Puro kay kambal naman yun ha!

Wala lang. Share ko lang sa inyo. Nakakatuwa kasi si Mama G, kahit mabunganga yan, labs na labs kaming magkakapatid. Tapos kapag kukuha kami sa ref niyan at cupboard, kunwari lang yan sisitahin kami pero deep inside tuwang tuwa yan kapag nag-grogrocery kami sa kanya kasi kapag nag-grogrocery yan sa supermarket, ang dinadampot niyan madalas yung mga gusto namin. Hehe. =)

S&R Shopping Spree c/o Papa G

We went to the last day of S&R Member's Treat as planned. We were suppose to leave the house at 8:00am since yung ang usapan pero mag 9:00am na kami nakaalis. Huwag niyo na tanungin kung bakit baka kasi may magalit, pero I'm telling you na hindi kami ang dahilan nun. Hehehe. Malamang hindi kami dahilan kasi excited ako sa araw na yun. Libreng shopping eh! Lam na! 

We arrived at S&R a little past 9:00am already. Marami rami na ang tao and malapit na rin mapuno ang parking area. Nagcomment nga si Papa G eh. Akala niya wala na raw tao sa last day.

Anyway, ikot ikot na kami sa S&R. Konti lang naman ang pinabili ko kay Papa G. Ayaw ko naman magdadampot ng mga items na di ko naman talaga kailangan. Yung tipong  masabi na makapagpabili lang. Beside, I'm not that ganid or tuso naman. May hiya pa rin naman ako kahit papaano sa katawan ko. Lam niyo yun, gusto ko ang dating parang lambing na lang sa daddy ko yun pagshop niya sa akin kasi supposedly dapat ako na ang manlilibre sa kanila.

Me: Dad, Pxxxx.xx lang ang napamili ko.

Papa G (gulat na gulat): Talaga? Kasama na rin ba yung alarm clock dun?

Me: Hindi po. Babayaran ko yun sa iyo di ba?

Papa G: Dapat sinama mo na.

Me: Thank you!

Hindi pa rin ako makapaniwala na di na sa akin pinabayaran ni daddy yung alarm clock. Kaya while walking sa ATC (yes, nag ATC pa kami after S&R)...

Me: Dad, talaga po bang pati yung alarm clock ililibre mo sa akin?

Papa G: Oo naman. Bakit, hindi ba nasama sa nacharge sa akin?

Me: Nasama, pero di ba nga sabi ko po babayaran ko dapat sa iyo?

Papa G: Nakacharge na sa akin eh, libre ko na rin yun sa iyo.

Me: Wow naman! Bakit naman po naisipan mo yatang pati kami ipagshopping?

Papa G: Namimiss kasi kita eh!

Me: Sabi ko na nga ba eh. Tama ang hinala ko na maiging hindi tayo nagkikita kasi lumalakas ako sa iyo!

Ang galing ko talagang mag-assess ano? Tama nga ang hinala ko kung bakit ganado si Papa G na ishopping ako. Hehehe. Minsan talaga, ang sarap pa rin ng pakiramdam na maging baby ng daddy kahit may asawa na. =)

Kaya daddy, maraming maraming salamat sa pagshopping sa amin! Sana parati mo akong mamimiss. Joke! Hehehe.

Pagbabakasakali Sa S&R Member's Treat 2013

Yesterday, my MIL called me up to tell me that she wants to go to the S&R Member's Treat 2013. I told her that it might be better to go there between 1:00pm to 5:00pm since it is a payday Friday. Mas maganda nang alanganing oras kami pumunta dahil malamang dadagsain ng tao after office hours since mga bagong sweldo ang mga tao.

We arrived there at around 4:00pm and nakaswerte kami dahil hindi nga ganong karami ang tao that time. May mga available parking slots pa kaya pagkapasok namin sa entrance, nakapark kagad kami.

Parang ordinary day lang sa S&R ano? Sobrang luwag!

Then sa pila naman for the pushcart, maiksi lang din so we didn't wait that much. Wala pang 10 minutes nakapasok kaagad kami...

Inside the store naman, hindi rin gaanong matao so walang masyadong "excuse me" sa paglilibot...

And since maaga aga kami nakarating sa S&R, pang 3 lang kami sa pila sa cashier...

Since its around 7:00pm na that time, pahaba na rin ng pahaba ang pila sa cashier...

Konti lang naman ang napamili ko that time since kakamonthly grocery ko lang nung March 3 and nakapamili (hoard?) na rin ako sa Duty Free sa Clark during the Hot Air Balloon Fiesta. Essentials lang naman ang mga binili ko and some pabili from my mom. Sobrang nagpigil ako dahil ayaw ko naman bumili ng mga (1)hindi ko naman talaga kailangan like yung buy 1 take 1 tumbler, carry-on luggage and buy 1 take 1 insulated bags, etc. and (2)food items na empty calories lang ang laman na makakapagdelay sa pagpapapayat ko like yung lava cakes and buy 1 take 1 na ring cakes, etc.

Nakanaman talaga ang Papa G! Not kuripot this time! Hahaha! Maganda rin palang hindi kami madalas nagkikita ano? Lumalakas ako sa kanya. Balitaan ko na lang kayo sa mangyayari sa amin sa Sunday. I'm hoping na hindi matao sa last day. Goodluck to us! =)

Freebie: Milo Canister

Happy ako sa freebie ng Milo. Small thing pero masaya na ako. If you buy 1 Kilo of Milo, you get a free canister kasi. Nakakatuwa lang kasi before sa 2 Lock and Lock containers ko pa sinasalin yung Milo. At least ngayon, yun na ang magiging lalagyan ng Milo namin.

Cute naman di ba? By the way, I got the basketball design. 3 designs kasi ang available - basketball, soccer and volleyball. Hopefully sa next grocery shopping ko meron pang ganito para ibibigay ko kay Mama G. Nagustuhan din niya kasi eh.

Foot SPA Sunday

Hi guys! How was your Sunday?

For me, it's kinda relaxing and productive day. Relaxing, because I had the manicurista come over my house for some foot SPA and pedicure. =) Pareho kami ni hubby nagpagawa kaya ang saya saya ni hubby kasi nabawasan ng ilang pounds ang kanyang mga paa. Hehehe.

P500.00 for the foot SPA, pedicure and tip is not bad at all di ba? Paminsan minsan, we need to pamper ourselves para naman kahit papaano mabawasbawasan ang pagod sa katawan.

After that, we rushed to South Supermarket at Filinvest to do our monthly grocery shopping and to buy some stuff for my kulilit's simple birthday celebration on Friday. South Supermarket is the place where I do the grocery shopping now. You know why? Aside sa complete yung mga grocery items doon, the place is not crowded and there are no long lines sa counter.

Then, we met with my in-laws and had dinner at Conti's Bakeshop and Restaurant at Westgate. I had Parmesan Fish Fillet w/ Parsley Sauce, hubby had Chicken ala Kiev and the kulilit's had arroz caldo. For some sweet endings, I had a slice of Dolce Cheesecake while hubby had Tiramisu Cheesecake. Since, the kulilits are already cranky that time, I wasn't able to take some photos of the place and the food. Sayang nga eh kasi ang ganda sana idocument.

After dinner, we went home straight na since very sleepy na ang kambal and I still need to fix the groceries. So that's it guys, that's how our Sunday went. =)

Food Discovery: Isang Galong Yakult

I saw this at Sogo Supermarket in Taiwan. All the while akala ko malaki na yung binibili namin sa convenience store kasi parang 500ml ata yun pero nashock talaga ako when I saw this one. Parang wala ng bukas eh.

Bakit kaya dito sa Pinas wala pang ganito?

Calling, Yakult manufacturer...gawa naman kayo ng something like this please. Pretty Plweease... 

Food Discovery: Tedi Chocolate Cookies

I have a new discovery and my twins loved it!!!

When I went to the grocery store, I tried to look for animal crackers for my babies. Unfortunately, they don't have any. Instead, I saw this:

Tedi Bear Shaped Chocolate Cookies

It is a bear shaped chocolate cookies by Island Biscuit and it only costs less than P5.00 a pack. I bought one pack first to try if my twins would like it.

I opened the pack one afternoon and gave one piece at a time to my twins so that they could eat it while they are watching a movie. They liked it and finished the pack. Out of curiosity, I tried a piece and it really tastes good. Actually, it tastes like an oreo cookie.

The next time I go back to the grocery store, I will buy these cookies again for my twins.
