After X number of years, the Padua family was complete again one Sunday afternoon because my brother-in-law, Juan Carlo or JC, went home for a week long vacation.
Our chosen venue for the afternoon is Bonifacio Global City. First, we went to Trion Towers where JC got a condo unit. And of course, we went there as one battalion! Just imagine all of us walking/touring around the amenities of the Trion Towers. Hehe.
After the Trion Towers, we were suppose to go around SM Aura but it didn't materialize. Since it is already late in the afternoon, my FIL decided to have dinner instead.
While hubby and my in-laws are looking for a place to eat, I let the Kulilits play first at Bonifacio High Street. I tell you, they really love playing in the grass. They run and roll here and there!!!
Here are the boys playing with their Tito Ninong JC...
Ian enjoying the grass...
The Kulilits horsing around...
We had dinner at Texas Roadhouse Grill...
And here are what we ordered (I'm sorry, I didn't get all the names of the food.):
Texas Quesadillas...
Crispy Chicken Tenders...
Parmesan-Crusted Chicken (my order)...
Roadhouse Red Chili Burger for hubby...
which he really enjoyed...
The Great Ribeye...
Wrangler's Pork Steak...
Country-Style Burger Steak...
Kid Combo: Spaghetti & Chicken Tenders (Sorry for the picture. Hehe =) BTW, kids eat for free here)...
And of course, our souvenir picture...
After dinner, the Kulilits played again. The boys are non-stop! I don't know where they are getting their energy. Take note: they woke up early that day and didn't take their afternoon nap but still they are full of energy until 9:00pm.
Then we went to Serendra for some Cold Stone ice cream.
Lots of ice cream...
Waffle cones and toppings...
Gotta Have It Cheescake Fantasy for us...
I know... I said, I won't eat anything sweet again. But promise, I had few only. =)
Chocolate Devotion (I think) for Kuya Bimbo and Ai...
My MIL and FIL had Banana Caramel Crunch while my SIL had Coffee Lovers Only (I don't have pictures, sorry). For JC and Doms, I don't know what they ordered. Hehe.
After our dessert, we all went home happy and with a full tummy. =)

Korean Ice Cream Hoarding Ba Kamo?
I went last week to my favorite Korean Grocery at BF Homes and guess what I did? I just hoarded my favorite Korean Ice Creams - Melona and Red Bean Ice Cream.
Natawa nga sa akin yung saleslady eh. She even asked me kung para saan ba raw yung mga binili ko.
It's time for me to enjoy my ice cream...

Food Discovery: Korean Red Bean Ice Cream
One recent Korean Ice Cream discovery is their Red Bean Ice Cream. Promise, ang sarap niya! Just imagine our Ice Buko na maraming monggo on top. Di ba yun ang sarap na? This one puro red bean siya na super creamy. Mura lang din ito. It's only P25.00 each.
I can't wait to go back to the Korean Grocery at BF Homes. Maghohoard ako!

Food Discovery: Melona Ice Cream
At the ice cream section of S&R, while looking for Blue Bunny ice cream, I saw a box of green Korean ice cream. Then I overheard a couple saying that it is good. I didn't buy that time since they sell in bulk and I still don't know the taste.
Few days later, while hubby and I are buying some pasalubongs for our US relatives at Puregold Molito, I saw again these green ice cream and I got one for me to taste. Well, I can tell you, if you like Magnolia Melon Milk, you are going to like this either. It really tastes like melon. It is smooth and creamy.
On my way home last Saturday, I craved for Melona Ice Cream so I passed by a Korean grocery at BF Homes Paranaque to try my luck. Yeba! There are a lot of Korean Ice Creams and I saw Melona. I bought few and gave my mom and brother for them to try also.
My second stick...
Next time I'll try to hoard some para may stock na ako sa fridge.

Soderno Food Trip
Just before the parenting conference started last Friday night, my hubby suddenly asked me: "Saan tayo kakain ng dinner?" I just smiled back and in my mind I said "Talaga nga naman ang hubby ko oh, di pa nagsisimula ang conference tinatanong na ako kaagad kung saan kami kakain ng dinner. Basta pagkain talaga, number 1 si Doc Padu."
Then he asked me again the same question. Di talaga ako tinantanan. Then I said "Soderno na lang". When I said that, there is a big smile in his face and he said in a childish and exciting way "Ay sige, sa Soderno!" I chose Soderno because it is open during night time and there are a lot of food choices there.
When we arrived at the area, I asked my hubby to drop me at the Korean grocery because I'm craving for a Korean Ice Cream. I bought this flower-shaped ice cream.
It is almost like an ice cream sandwich. Wafer on the outside and vanilla ice cream, red beans and sticky rice inside. It is very delicious.
Then we went inside Soderno and started strolling around to check on the booths.
Oohhh La La... Look at these... the uric acid and cholesterol station...
I bought takoyaki. I love takoyaki. I remember the takoyakis being sold in the streets of Hong Kong's night market. The best talaga with their sauce, mayo, dried fish powder and seaweeds. Yummy! But this one, hindi ko rin masyadong like. So so lang. It is not served hot kasi. Aside from that, yung filling niya iba. Instead of octopus, they used crab sticks.
I also ordered Manang's chicken. This one I like. I love the mix of flavors (original sauce and sesame seeds). Very crispy and juicy.
I like eating ihaw-ihaw, especially isaw manok/baboy. Malasa kasi siya eh. But this one, I don't really recommend. One secret to a delicious ihaw-ihaw is the sauce.
Para mawala ang umay, I ordered Mr. Tea's Milk Tea with pearls. Ok naman ang taste niya pero not that good compared with the other milk teas.
Hubby naman, he bought a 2 scoops of gelato for dessert for Php 200.00 (I forgot to take a picture of it). He chose 2 flavors: chili chocolate and Baileys.
So that ended our food trip. Next time we go back at Soderno we will try the roast beef and the steak.

Hubby ordered this. It is called Bagwang. It is served with thinly sliced crispy pork jowls, fried rice and fried egg. Honestly, hindi ko siya masyadong type. It tastes bland for me plus it is not served hot. It just tastes like a bland chicharon. And I think pricey siya.
| Bagwang Php 170.00 |
