Father's Day Celebration

This is what happened last father's day...

Last Sunday, hubby went to do his hospital rounds in the morning (since he doesn't have holidays and Sundays). He went home at around 12:00nn then we went to SM Southmall to reserve at Yabu: House of Katsu. Guess what, we are number 28! Kawawa nga ang mga kulilits eh. Panay reklamo na sa akin. They are hungry na raw. Kaya ayun, while we were waiting for our seats, I bought them some bread from Tous Les Jours.

We were seated at around 2:00pm. Sulit naman ang hintay namin dahil they have great food and we were really satisfied.

While we were waiting, we were briefed about their sauce. Each of us are given this...

Need daw durugin yung black and white sesame seeds then hahaluan ng katsu sauce.

Here are the other condiments: katsu sauce, assorted salad dressings, spices, Himalayan salt...

The best yung GOMA Sesame dressing for the cabbage. Ang dami ko ngang nakain na cabbage eh kasi very addicting.

Here are what we ordered:

Hubby ordered Rosu Pork Loin Set (180g) - 3/4 inch thick, juicy pork cutlet with trimming of fat. Served with Japanese rice, miso soup, Japanese pickles, unlimited cabbage with sesame dressing and a bowl of fruit.

My brother ordered Hire and Seafood Set - Hire, black tiger prawn, cream Dory, Scallop. Served with Japanese rice, miso soup, Japanese pickles, unlimited cabbage with sesame dressing and a bowl of fruit.

My dad ordered a Salmon Set (100g) - Served with Japanese rice, miso soup, Japanese pickles, unlimited cabbage with sesame dressing and a bowl of fruit.

My mom  ordered Seafood Katsu Set 1 - Black tiger prawn, scallop, cream Dory, oyster, squid. Served with Japanese rice, miso soup, Japanese pickles, unlimited cabbage with sesame dressing and a bowl of fruit.

and I ordered Chicken Special Katusdon Set  - Served with Japanese rice, miso soup, Japanese pickles, unlimited cabbage with sesame dressing and a bowl of fruit.

For our drinks, we ordered bottomless lemonade and for our dessert we ordered a lava cake which according to my mom is very yummy.

We really loved the food - served hot, huge serving and delicious! Tapos with my order, I super nasarapan talaga ako because the chicken is very tender and juicy. Aside from that, plus points din yung unlimited Japanes rice and organic cabbage.

After our super duper late lunch, we went to Greenbelt Makati to celebrate father's day with hubby's side of the family.

We had dinner at Bubba Gump. Since we ate late lunch and I'm still full, sumubo lang ako ng kaunti. Different story yan kay hubby. Wala ata sa bokabolaryo nun ang salitang busog eh. Hahaha!

That's it! That's how we celebrated father's day. =)

Wait... wait... wait...

I forgot to share you. I have another gift for hubby that day. Remember, advance na yung father's gift ko sa kanya which is the Aerosmith Concert ticket? Well, di ko talaga matiis ang hubby ko. Hindi ko matiis na wala akong maibigay sa kanya sa special day niya.

Father's Day 2012 Celebration

Hubby, the kulilits and I went to Alabang Town Center (ATC) to celebrate father's day. Dun type pumunta ni hubby para mapasyalan daw namin yung new wing ng ATC.

When we were there already, we strolled around first to look for a restaurant to eat. Sa old wing, hubby considered Amici but I told him to check on the new wing first because there are a lot of newly opened restaurants there like Abe, PF Changs and Chili's.

Hubby chose Chili's. Pila pa rin kahit late lunch na. We waited for about 20 minutes to be seated. At our table, para hindi mabore yung mga kulilits, our server gave them coloring materials.

I'm with my kulilits here. The server gave them balloons but hindi nagtagal ng 1 hour kasi kinagat nila. Hehehe.

I ordered Texas cheese fries for the kulilits. Hindi ito naubos so it ended up as a pulutan of my hubby and brother-in-law when we went home.

At around 7:00pm, we rushed to Blackbeard's Seafood Island at SM Southmall to celebrate father's day with both of our parents. Unfortunately, nagtampururut yung father-in-law ko kaya umuwi din kaagad siya.

We ordered bangus belly sinigang, sisig and their Dapitan's pride boodle feast. I was not able to take pictures of the Dapitan's pride since gutom na kami lahat sa sobrang tagal dumating ng food. The Dapitan's pride is suppose to look like this one.

 But when they served it to us, nireplace nila yung clams ng tahong and yung liempo ng chicken without informing us. Pero sa mga taong gutom, que se hoda mali mali, tira pa rin! LOL! As a proof, here is the picture of our plate.
