Overnight at Oakwood Premier Joy Hotel

We had a chance to stay at Oakwook Premier Joy Hotel last March. When I first heard from my husband that we are going to have an overnight stay at Oakwood, I thought he was referring to the one in Makati. It was different pala. It was located in Ortigas. And in my mind sabi ko "meron palang Oakwood doon?"

Anyway, when we arrived at Oakwood, hindi masyadong stunning yung building niya. I dunno ha, kasi medyo parang off yung location ng lobby niya. Instead of facing the main road, dun siya facing sa inner street. Pero ok lang naman kasi when we went inside our room, bumawi naman. The room is big. It's like a studio condominium. According to my husband, Oakwood Premier Joy Hotel is a serviced apartment kaya ganun ang features ng room.

Let me show you the inside of our room.

There's a king sized bed and a sala...

Their TV and entertainment system (hindi masyado kita sa picture)...

Kitchen area...

Complete ang gamit sa kitchen. Sayang I didn't know. Sana nakapagbaon kami kasi pwede pala magluto. =)

The bathroom...

You could see that the toilet area is separate from the bathroom area.

The walk-in closet area...

There is an office nook and a laundry area adjacent to it...

Our accommodation includes buffet breakfast for two. Nothing extravagant and limited lang ang food choices compared to other hotels. But still, it is still satisfying.

Overall, we had a nice and memorable stay at this hotel. We recommend it to long-term travelers who want to stay within Ortigas.

Hotel Hopping Weekend: Fairmont Makati

The last hotel that we stayed at that weekend was at Fairmont Makati. Again, hubby had to attend an event there. Buti na lang yun yung last dahil yun yung pinakamaganda. As in bongga kung sa bongga! Ika nga nila, save the best for last. =)

It was our first time to check in there kaya I don't have any idea kung ano ang look ng hotel. Ni hindi ko nga alam kung saan yun sa Makati eh kasi it's a new hotel. Kaya when we arrived there, napa oooohhhh and ahhhhh na lang ako. =)

Here are the photos that I took during our stay there:

The reception...

The hotel lobby...

The walkway going to the hotel rooms...

Insidc our hotel room:

Walkway inside the room with the closets at the side...

The 2 double-sized beds...

The work area, tv and mini bar...

Ang pinakabonggang hotel bathroom so far for me:

The sink and bath tub area...

The Toilet...

The shower area...

The toiletries...

The photos that I showed you does not give justice to how the room really looks like in person. Sorry about that. Basta in person, mapapa ooohhhh ka talaga. Very impressive! =)

Since it was a Saturday when we checked-in there, sobrang nasulit namin ang stay namin there since it's a Sunday the following day. Nag-enjoy talaga kami as a family.

The following day, Sunday, we had a very wonderful and heavy breakfast at Spectrum. But still, we enjoyed it!

After breakfast, we headed at the swimming pool area (ano pa nga ba?)...

Swimming ulit ang kambalistik...

Bonding ang daddy and mga Kulilits...

Enjoy to the max ang Kambal...

Super fun ang stay namin at Fairmont Makati. Like what I said earlier, we enjoyed it as a family. Monday to Saturday kasi hubby has a clinic and mostly every Sunday, he's doing hospital rounds din.

So that's the end of hotel hopping weekend. I hope you enjoyed reading my blog posts.

Good night everybody! Mwah! =)

Hotel Hopping Weekend: Taal Vista Hotel

Friday, after lunch, we went to Tagaytay and checked-in at the Mountain Wing of Taal Vista Hotel. Hubby kasi had to attend something there. Kami, as ever supporting family, we need to be with him all the time. =)

Here are the pictures of our hotel room:

Very spacious room with two double-sized beds and a sofa bed...

Mini bar...

The bathroom:

Vanity area...

Toiletries...

Toilet and bath tub...

And, of course, the pool area (tambayan of the Kulilits)...

Masyado kasing malamig baka magkasakit. Kaya nagselfie na lang kaming mag-ina...

After swimming, nag-stroll around lang kami within the vicinity of Taal Vista Hotel.

Me and my boys (hubby is not yet around)...

You can also see Sky Ranch from Taal Vista Hotel...

An open space where you can make tambay...

My kids played around here. They loved the grass!

Look at Christoff...

The twins...

My Kulilits...

The twins even rolled over the grass...

After playing around this grass area, we went to the kiddie playroom after. I didn't take pictures anymore because there are other kids around.

We really had a great time at Taal Vista Hotel! It's a family friendly hotel because you can do a lot of things there with your family. The only thing that I didn't like about the hotel is that the room that we stayed in is quite old already. Apart from that, everything is perfect! =)

Hotel Hopping Weekend: Remington Hotel

Two weekends ago, we had an opportunity to stay overnight at 3 different hotels. Hep hep! Bago mag-react, libre po lahat yan. Hehe! =)

For the Chinese New Year Eve, we stayed at Remington Hotel at Resorts World. My parents just let us sneak in here because we are going to visit our farm the following day.

Here are some of the pictures of the hotel room:

The living room area with a sofa bed and mini kitchen...

Queen size bed...

Hehe. By the way, the living room/kitchen area and bed are separated by a wooden sliding door.

The bathroom...

The toiletries...

The toilet...

The shower area...

Seeing the pictures of the hotel room, are you impressed? Maybe most of you will answer NO. Ako rin kasi I'm not impressed eh. Walang dating talaga sa akin yung room. Yes I know mostly yung mga gamers ang nagchecheck-in dito, pero compared to mid-sized hotels in Vegas and Macau, ang laki ng difference sa aesthetics ha.

Anyway, kamusta naman ang aming stay? Ummmm... Medyo unpleasant eh.

First, with the hotel room's cleanliness, sablay sila dito.

  • The sofa bed is not clean and ang daming stains. Nakakadiri tuloy higaan.
  • Yung toilet bowl, madumi yung singit singit.
We had our breakfast at Cafe Maxims since we had minors with us. The free breakfast that comes with our hotel stay is set breakfast. Terrible service talaga! Hehe.

I checked their rates in the internet, and I could say na, in case binayaran namin yung stay namin, sobrang manghihinayang kami sa binayad namin. Hindi worth it for me. We paid P100.00 pa for the parking. Haaayyysssttt!

So that's our experience at Remington Hotel. =(
