I just want to share you an email. Whether this is real or not, just be cautious and careful guys...
From nino albano
Dear friends, I just met with a friend who had just emerged from a 9 hour
ordeal. He was kidnapped in the heart of the Makati business district
around noon the other day. he emerged from IPL towers on leviste st.
Salcedo village to go to a lunch meeting in pasong tamo. He decided not to
take his car because parking in makati can be hassle. Talking on the phone
he hopped into the first available cab. Later he realized the cab was
taking a route that was unusual. He called the driver's attention but was
ignored. The cab entered into urban road , the road by urban bank which is
parallel to buendia. It stopped and 3 other men got in. He tried to
struggle but they stabbed his wrist . When he heard the sound of a gun
being cocked , he stopped struggling and gave into all their demands. They
had him withdraw from all four banks accts , took his celphone and palm
pilot and dropped him off in cavite somewhere near trece martires. . He was
able to make it back to makati He reported the incident to the makati
police and was told that it was the third incident in the week. One
happened to a student who got a cab in rockwell , the other to a citibank
female executive who was taking a cab from paseo de roxas to glorietta but
ended up in cavite. the cabs were stolen. Targets are students, employees
and executives . Please warn your friends to be careful . The best way to
take a taxi would be in the queues where they hand a pc of paper with all
the taxi info or just call for one reputable taxi .
Please take care everyone.*

Our Future Home
Our first investment as husband and wife is a condominium unit at Makati. We got it on a pre-selling stage way back 2008.
We visited the site this month to check on the progress of the construction. It's almost up. By the way, the target date of turnover will be at the end of this year and we are very excited.
Here are some pictures taken by my hubby:

One Black Saturday at Makati Parks
This is a continuation of our "gala" last Black Saturday...
After swimming at Newport, we went to Makati and rested for a while to my parent's condominium while waiting for hubby do his rounds (Yes, you heard me right. Kahit mahal na araw, work work work pa rin si Doc Padu).
We were suppose to go to Luneta that afternoon but it is too hot that is why we just went to the park nearby - Legaspi Interactive Park and Washington Sycip Park.
Here is a picture of the Legaspi Interactive Park. It has playground, jogging trail, stage, benches, etc. I use to jog here before I got pregnant. You can see that it is surrounded by different condominium already.

It is also nice in Washington Sycip Park.

Inside the Washington Sycip Park, there is a wish stone.

Well, that ended our tour in Makati parks. But wait... Hindi pa tapos ang gala namin that day ha...Dahil after that, we went pa to Bonifacio High Street with Mama G and Papa G.

Express Lunch at the Corner Tree Cafe
I forgot my baon last Saturday because my dad and I are in a hurry in going to the office. I was thinking that time na hindi na lang ako maglulunch since we had a heavy breakfast that morning naman (aside sa pagiging super kuripot ko...LOL!)
Then she asked me kung ano kakainin ni daddy. I told her to ask him because I don't know and we don't have any baon. She approached my dad and asked him what he will eat. I told manang not to prepare him lunch anymore.
I told my dad na we'll just eat sa Corner Tree Cafe. It is a vegan restaurant located at Jupiter St., Makati. Nagpromise din kasi ako sa kanya before na papakainin ko siya dun since he is in a "vegetarian" diet.
As a starter, I ordered the Corner Tree Starter Plate. It is a combination of Dukka (a distinctly Egyptian snack made with a dry blend of seeds, spices and nuts. Earthy and fragrant. Served with extra vigin olive oil and warm chunks of whole wheat bread and white bean hummus (a lemony white bean dip servied "on the rocks"). With sticks of cucumber, singkamas (jicama) and carrots.
This starter plate is really delish. Nabitin nga ako sa bread eh. The white bean hummus is very addictive. I actually ate it without the bread. I also tried dipping the bread with the olive oil and Dukka. Ang sarap din niya. May pagka-smokey ang flavor.
For the main dish, I ordered Tofu Teriyaki with Sauteed Asparagus and Shitake Mushroom for my dad. It is served in a bowl over organic red rice.
I tried one tofu and I could say that it is delicious also. It has a right blend of ingredients that the flavor of one ingredient don't overpower the flavor of another. My dad enjoyed this dish as well.
And for me, I ordered Spinach and Mushroom Lasagna. It is made of spinach, roasted red bell pepper, mushrooms and 3 different kind of cheeses. It is served with a side salad as well.
Their lasagna is flavorful. Hindi siya nakakasawa or nakakaumay. Aside from that, ang dami niyang spinach. The good thing about this dish is that hindi siya mapait. Usually kasi ang spinach medyo bitter ang taste.
For our drinks, I ordered Organic Lemongrass Iced Tea. Hindi ko masyadong type ito. I find the taste weird eh. Not the usual iced tea, maybe because of the muscovado. Pero my dad, he liked it.
To complete our meal, we had a slice of Banoffee Pie for dessert. Eto talaga is a must try. Actually, mas masarap itong banoffee pie na ito as compared to the one that Starbucks is selling.
Maybe you are wondering why it is an express lunch. Express because we stayed at the restaurant in less than an hour.
Here are my comments to the Corner Tree Cafe:

Here are my comments to the Corner Tree Cafe:
- Parking - Limited parking; it is hard to park. Nakadouble parking kami
- Place - Too small to the point na magkakabanggaan mga customer
- Food - Delisyoso and served hot
- Serving Size - Tama lang - not to small and not to big (nabitin lang ako sa starter plate)
- Price - Medyo pricey siya since our bill is almost Php 1,400.00.
