Pet One's Dog Care on Wheels Event Experience

I felt honored to be invited by Pet One as one of their guest bloggers in their event at SM Fairview. They saw kasi my blog posts about my dog, Pawie, and they enjoyed reading it so they invited me to their event.

They asked me to bring Pawie to avail their free vet services. Unfortunately, it's hard for us to bring him since: (1) Pawie is a big dog, (2) the venue is far and (3) mahirap for us since bitbit din namin ang mga kulilits. I informed the organizer about it and they said we could bring another dog instead. So I asked Kuya Bimbo and Ai to bring their dog, Rico, kaso they begged off kasi malayo and weekends lang sila mag-asawa nagkakasama. Hindi na namin sila pinilit kasi we understand naman their situation.

Anyway, libot libot ako sa venue and took some pictures.

As stated, they have free veterinary services such as veterinary health check-up, anti-rabies vaccination, endo/ecto parasitic control and multivitamin supplementation...

They also gave free basic grooming services...

Here's the waiting area for dogs to be groomed...

The kulilits are super enjoy watching the dogs...

The event is loaded with activities such as games, raffles, talks and a dog fashion show...

Here is the line of registrants...

Ang daming sumali sa dog fashion show and kina-career ng mga dog owners ha! Talagang ready sila with their dogs' costumes. May mga long gowns nga akong nakita eh.

They also have free photobooth...

Siyempre, we did not miss it...

Ian, Me, Chris & Hubby

Etong mga chairs na ito, it was filled with people habang tumatagal...

Here are the pet products sold during the event...

This guy talked about responsible pet ownership...

He made it very interactive and we learned a lot from him.

I also won in one of the raffles...

I wasn't expecting to win kasi sobrang malas ko sa mga raffle. Pero I'm very happy because I won. =)

Some of the dogs at the event...

Grabe, ang daming dogs. Ang cu-cute nila! Dun ko lang na-realize na ang daming dog lovers from youngsters to oldies. =)

They also gave loot bags to participants...

Daming laman ng loot bag! I'm sure Pawie will enjoy the contents! =) Natuwa nga ako kasi may gourmet dog food. Pati pala dogs may gourmet food din. =)

And last but not the least, they gave me a free My Pet One Club membership...

I really enjoyed this event and I'm happy to meet the people behind it. They are super duper friendly. =)

I'm looking forward to their future events. They told me that they'll probably have one in the south. I'm super excited na kasi I could bring Pawie with me.

To Pet One, congratulations for your successful event and more power!

Pawie is Home!!!

Pawie is our dog. He's a Chinese Sharpei. We got him in 2009. Siya ang original baby namin ni hubby. As in literal ha kasi we treat him as one since we don't have a baby that time. Sobrang spoiled niyan. Every other day ang ligo and may hilamos and brush ng teeth pa yan before going to bed. Katabi kasi namin matulog eh. Tapos I remember din na lagi naming kasama yan sa mga out of town trips namin.

Come late 2010, nung malaki na ang tiyan ko, nagstay na kami with my parents since si hubby on-training pa in cardiology that time.

Kawawa nga eh, kasi in a way natake for granted namin siya since dumating ang mga kulilits. Pero we make it a point na macelebrate pa rin namin ang birthdays niya.

Last December 2012, during his birthday, we tried na isama namin siya with the kulilits. Click naman sila. Hindi niya inaaway ang kambal. As in completely harmless siya. So hubby and I decided na ibalik na namin siya sa house. Naghesitate lang kami kasi ako lang mag-isa sa house at baka mahirapan ako magbantay sa kanila (kulilits and Pawie).

Pero now, since malaki na ang kambal at nakakaintindi na, we brought him back home. As in hinihila niya ako.

Halatang excited talaga!

Picture picture playing with the kulilits...

Tignan niyo here, parang nakasmile si Pawie...

I'm so happy that Pawie is back home already. Happy na siya ulit! =)

Welcome Back Pawie!

Pawie was already disharged yesterday afternoon from the hospital. My hubby and I are very happy because the mass that was taken out from Pawie's neck is not a malignancy. It's just an enlarged lymph node. Buti na lang we saw it kaagad or else mahihirapan maalis yun dahil malapit na dumikit sa ugat na connected sa brain niya.

You won't believe how much we spent for Pawie's hospitalization. Grabe talaga...9k plus...imagine, talo pa ang tao!!! Paano if we don't have money? Eh di kawawa naman ang Pawie namin...

Kahit malaki ang gastos, ok lang. Pawie has been a part of our lives na. Love na love namin siya. He's a part of our family. He's our original baby.

Welcome back home Pawie Boy!!!

Pawie Got A Lump! :(

We went home early today. As my hubby parked the car, I noticed from afar that Pawie, our BEST dog buddy, has a lump at his right neck. My hubby checked him and found out that he has a dog bite at that area also. Initially, we thought that it is an abscess. Hubby tried if he could squeeze it out. Unfortunately, he can't do it.

I told him that we need to bring him to the hospital and seek for medical help. We brought Pawie to Cassandra Cares Hospital. It is the first animal hospital in the Philippines.

Hubby was amazed with the hospital. As in parang hospital ng tao. It has complete facilities.

Going back, the vet examined Pawie. Same lang din ang findings nya. He tried to extract the abscess using a syringe. May konting nakuha pero he discontinued it since mukhang matagal na raw based dun sa color ng pus na nakuha. Pawie needs to go a minor surgery daw. We consented kasi he might get sepsis.

Pawie was brought to the operating room...sedated...shaved...then when the vet checked the boundaries of the lump, it is not possible to do it with minor surgery since there is a feeder vessel. In layman's term, UGAT. We have no choice but to confine Pawie at the hospital. He needs a general anesthesia since he has to explore the lump and check if there are signs of malignancy.

Hopefully, Pawie will be well by tomorrow. We love you Pawie Boy our friend!

Saudi Dog

Here in the Philippines, you'll know if someone worked in Saudi. How? By his jewelries. Hence, he can be coined as "Saudi Boy".

If there is a Saudi Boy, there is also a Saudi Dog...

See his super kapal gold necklace? Head turner kaya ang doggie na ito. I thought namamalikmata lang ako, pero tinitigan ko siya maigi nung first time ko siya nakita. Talagang may alahas na suot. From then on, I called him Saudi Dog.

The funny thing about this dog is that his real name is Mc Donalds and you can call him by his nickname Mac Mac.

What a Name!?!

When you hear the word "Jollibee", what do you normally think of? Of course, the famous fastfood chain here in the Philippines. The one with a big red bee mascot...

One day while walking back home, I heard my neighbor shout "JOLLIBEE". Napatigil talaga ako and asked myself, "Tama ba ang narinig ko?". Then again, she shouted "JOLLIBEE" and then I looked back. Yun pala she is calling her dog. As in, tawang tawa ako sa pangalan ng dog niya. Kasi naman, of all the names bakit yun ang pangalan. Very WEIRD lang talaga.
