Food Trippin' at SM Megamall - Kyochon & Tim Ho Wan

Last Wednesday, we went to Makati Medical Center for Christoff's vaccination. I brought with me the Kulilits kaya full force kami.

After Makati Med, we went to SM Megamall.

First, we had our lunch at Kyochon. I guess it's new lang kasi never ko pa narinig yung name ng resto eh.

The facade...

The standee outside the resto showcasing the awards that they received...

The placemat...

We ordered their combo meal - Combo 2. It comes with 20 pieces of wings, salad, 4 rice and 4 drinks. All for P999.00.

We also ordered rice cake soup for the Kulilits sana. Pero hindi nila masyado type. I think it's expensive for its price (P70.00)...

Here is the salad...

Here are the chicken wings. We had the original and the red series...

What can I say about Kyochon?

For the food, masarap naman. I think their original chicken is better than Bon Chon. Pero for the red series, napaka-anghang! Ang plus point sa kanila is their rice.

For the price, it's kinda pricey. Parang medyo bitin kasi their food eh. Kasi if you'll see, yung inorder namin a little over one thousand na.

Then come merienda time, we went to Tim Ho Wan and checked what the fuss is all about. We went there past 3pm na kaya wala na masyadong pila.

Here is the facade (check their queuing system)...

Tim Ho Wan is from Hong Kong and they are famous because of their Michelin Star dim sum.

When we checked their menu, nakakatempt itry lahat. Pero we limited it lang to the following:

Their famous Baked Bun with BBQ Pork (3pcs)...

P 145.00

For the baked buns, one order lang per person. I don't know kung bakit pero siguro nakaka-addict kasi. Hehe. Pero I tried lang the dough (since I don't eat pork na), masarap nga. May something na kakaiba.

Spinach Dumpling with Shrimp...

P 120.00

These dumplings are so yummy. Very fresh yung shrimps niya. In fairness ha, malaki siya.

Pan Fried Carrot Cake...

P 145.00

Not unless radish and carrots are the same in terms of family.

Vermicelli Roll with Sweet and Sesame Sauce...

P 140.00

This one is basically a vermicelli wrapper with sesame sauce. Ang nagpasarap lang talaga dito is the sesame sauce.

Glutinous Rice with Lotus Leaf...

P 190.00

This is their version of machang. It's not puro rice ha, sobrang daming meat inside. May pork, chicken, sausage and mushrooms. As usual, I tried lang the rice and it is so yummy. Kahit ito lang, very filling na.

For our dessert, we had Mango Pomelo Sago...

P 90.00

This is the usual mango sago with a twist. Now lang ako nakaencounter ng mango sago with suha eh. Pero it blended well naman and it's not that sweet.

For the Tim Ho Wan, we were very satisfied with the food. Now I understand kung bakit pinipilahan siya. =)

So that's it! That's our food trippin' last Wednesday. =)

Food Trip: Sincerity Cafe & Restaurant

Like what I've said in my previous blog entry, we ate our lunch at Sincerity Cafe & Restaurant located at the ground floor of Lucky Chinatown Mall. It was very enticing to eat there because you can see from the outside the jam-packed customers as well as the food that were being served.

Here is the facade of the restaurant...

A brief history of the restaurant...

The menu...

We ordered the following:

Large Sincerity Chami...

P120.00

The Sincerity Chami that we ordered was really HUGE and it was absolutely delicious also! We ordered a large plate so that we can bring home some for the Kulilits.

Small Oyster Cake...

P140.00

My original plan was to order the large serving. Good thing I changed my mind because their serving was big. In fact, we didn't finish it all.

The oyster cake was yummy also. Aside from being big, it was really thick and there are a lot of oysters in it!

Half Sincerity Fried Chicken...

P150.00

It's really a must try! I love the garlicky and buttery flavor of the chicken. It's crispy from the outside and really juicy inside! Plus the fact that it was served really HOT!

Big Plain Rice...

P60.00

We ordered plain rice so that we could savour the flavor of the viands that we ordered.

All the food items that we ordered were included in the restaurant's all time favorite list since it was our first time to try the restaurant. I tell you, they didn't fail us considering there were a lot of people eating there. The food was really GREAT - served hot, delicious and big serving! Apart from that, it has good value for money. Imagine, our bill was less than P500.00 only!

We will definitely go back there or maybe to their original branch (Binondo) and try their other all time favorite. =)

A Happy Patient = A Happy Tummy!

A patient at San Pedro Doctor's Hospital gave hubby a KFC Bucket Meal yesterday.

Again, I'm so proud of my hubby. It just means na mahal siya ng patients niya and he's doing good in his profession.

To my hubby...Keep it up bebe! I'm a proud wifey and I'm your number one fan!!! Mwah!

Soderno Food Trip

Just before the parenting conference started last Friday night, my hubby suddenly asked me: "Saan tayo kakain ng dinner?" I just smiled back and in my mind I said "Talaga nga naman ang hubby ko oh, di pa nagsisimula ang conference tinatanong na ako kaagad kung saan kami kakain ng dinner. Basta pagkain talaga, number 1 si Doc Padu."

Then he asked me again the same question. Di talaga ako tinantanan. Then I said "Soderno na lang". When I said that, there is a big smile in his face and he said in a childish and exciting way "Ay sige, sa Soderno!" I chose Soderno because it is open during night time and there are a lot of food choices there.

When we arrived at the area, I asked my hubby to drop me at the Korean grocery because I'm craving for a Korean Ice Cream. I bought this flower-shaped ice cream.

Korean Ice Cream Php 50.00

It is almost like an ice cream sandwich. Wafer on the outside and vanilla ice cream, red beans and sticky rice inside. It is very delicious.

Then we went inside Soderno and started strolling around to check on the booths.

Oohhh La La... Look at these... the uric acid and cholesterol station...

Ihaw - Ihaw
Hubby ordered this. It is called Bagwang. It is served with thinly sliced crispy pork jowls, fried rice and fried egg. Honestly, hindi ko siya masyadong type. It tastes bland for me plus it is not served hot. It just tastes like a bland chicharon. And I think pricey siya.

Bagwang Php 170.00
I bought takoyaki. I love takoyaki. I remember the takoyakis being sold in the streets of Hong Kong's night market. The best talaga with their sauce, mayo, dried fish powder and seaweeds. Yummy! But this one, hindi ko rin masyadong like. So so lang. It is not served hot kasi. Aside from that, yung filling niya iba. Instead of  octopus, they used crab sticks.

Takoyaki Php 70.00
I also ordered Manang's chicken. This one I like. I love the mix of flavors (original sauce and sesame seeds). Very crispy and juicy.

Manangs Fried Chicken Php 149.00
I like eating ihaw-ihaw, especially isaw manok/baboy. Malasa kasi siya eh. But this one, I don't really recommend. One secret to a delicious ihaw-ihaw is the sauce.

Para mawala ang umay, I ordered Mr. Tea's Milk Tea with pearls. Ok naman ang taste niya pero not that good compared with the other milk teas.
Mr. Tea Milk Tea Php 70.00
Hubby naman, he bought a 2 scoops of gelato for dessert for Php 200.00 (I forgot to take a picture of it). He chose 2 flavors: chili chocolate and Baileys.

So that ended our food trip. Next time we go back at Soderno we will try the roast beef and the steak.
