Moustache!

One homeschooling day, my kids and I were having fun. My son, Ian, suddenly wanted to draw a moustache on my face. He said that he wanted to see how I look like with a moustache. Since we are using washable markers, I obliged.

Do you want to see how I looked with a moustache on???

Tada....

Ok ba? Ampogi ko ba? Hahaha!

My learnings that day...

Always have fun with my children and unleash the child in me once in a while!

I'm sure that they will store this moment in their memory bank. =)

The Garcia Clan is FUN!!!

I love my family! We have a very big family both mother and father side.

Haha! We call our family the "Garcia Clan".

I just want to share you some of our pictures nung nagsama sama kami last month. =)

Kailan kaya mauulit ito? Sana next time, complete na kami! =)

Mama G's Laughtrip: Scooby-Doo

My mom never fails in making us laugh talaga. Walang kupas kung baga.

During our road trip in US...

Mama G: Ano ba yan?
Me: Nickelodeon something
Mama G: Ah. Eh yung Scoopy-Doo, asan na? Type din ba niya?
Me and my brothers: (singing) Scoopy Scoopy-Doo, where are you? (then laughed)
Mama G: Bakit, ano ba dapat?
Me: Scooby-Doo ma. Pinaghalo mo naman si Snoopy and Scooby-Doo eh
Mama G: Ah (laughing also)

Mama G's Laughtrip: Praps

One Saturday afternoon at SM Southmall, my mom and I went to Starbucks to claim her HSBC rewards.

Me: Ma, ano order mo?
Mama G: Praps
Me: Ha?
Mama G: Praps
Me: Ano nga yun?
Mama G: Yung lagi kong inoorder, praps. Ayun oh (pointing to the menu board)
Me: Ah frap... LOL!
Mama G: Praps nga! Bakit ba?
Me: Ma, may ibloblog na naman ako. LOL!
Mama G: Sira ka talaga. LOL!

Kaya tuloy yung barista tinanong ako: "Ma'am bakit sobrang saya niyo?"

My mom talaga oh, she never fails to make us happy sa lakas ng sense of humor niya.

One Black Saturday at Makati Parks

This is a continuation of our "gala" last Black Saturday...

After swimming at Newport, we went to Makati and rested for a while to my parent's condominium while waiting for hubby do his rounds (Yes, you heard me right. Kahit mahal na araw, work work work pa rin si Doc Padu).

We were suppose to go to Luneta that afternoon but it is too hot that is why we just went to the park nearby - Legaspi Interactive Park and Washington Sycip Park.

Here is a picture of the Legaspi Interactive Park. It has playground, jogging trail, stage, benches, etc. I use to jog here before I got pregnant. You can see that it is surrounded by different condominium already.

Legaspi Interactive Park

It is also nice in Washington Sycip Park.

Washington Sycip Park

One...two...three...GO!!! Start na ang mga makukulit. Parang nakawala sa hawla. Takbo dito, takbo doon. It was their first time na maglaro sa grass kaya very curious silang hawakan.

Ian playing around

Chris playing around

At siyempre, I took the chance na magpapicture sa mga cute boys ko.

Chris & Ian with Mommy

Inside the Washington Sycip Park, there is a wish stone.

Jennifer & Mary Rose

Well, that ended our tour in Makati parks. But wait... Hindi pa tapos ang gala namin that day ha...Dahil after that, we went pa to Bonifacio High Street with Mama G and Papa G.

Mama G's Laughtrip: Nursery Rhymes Videoke

One Maundy Thursday at the Garcia's house in Las Pinas, while Mama G, Papa G and I were watching after the twins while they were watching their nursery rhymes videoke...

Song- I'm A Little Teapot

Me: Alin po?

Mama G: Yan oh, I'm a little teapot ching ching ching (singing)

Song- Eency Weency Spider

Ensi Ensi Spider...

Me: Ha?

Song is playing...the eency weency spider went up the water spout...

Mama G: Ah... Eency eency pala...

Me: (sige na nga...mali pa rin eh!)

Darwin Awards

I received an email from my dad and the subject is "Darwin Awards". At first, I thought that it is related to work where he will ask me to prepare an ad for the company. To my surprise, it is just a forwarded email  awarding people because of their, let's just say, "stupidity".

Let me share it to you...

*DARWIN AWARDS*

*Yes, it's that magical time of year again when the Darwin Awards are bestowed, honoring the least evolved among us.** *

*Here is the glorious winner:**

1. When his 38 caliber revolver failed to fire at his intended victim during a hold-up in Long Beach , California would-be robber James Elliot did something that can only inspire wonder. He peered down the barrel and tried the trigger again. This time it worked.
And now, the honorable mentions:

2. The chef at a hotel in Switzerland lost a finger in a meat cutting machine and after a little shopping around, submitted a claim to his insurance company. The company expecting negligence sent out one of its men to have a look for himself. He tried the machine and he also lost a finger.. The chef's claim was approved.

3. A man who shoveled snow for an hour to clear a space for his car during a blizzard in Chicago returned with his vehicle to find a woman had taken the space. Understandably, he shot her.

4. After stopping for drinks at an illegal bar, a Zimbabwean bus driver found that the 20 mental patients he was supposed to be transporting from Harare to Bulawayo had escaped. Not wanting to admit his  incompetence, the driver went to a nearby bus stop and offered everyone waiting there a free
ride. He then delivered the passengers to the mental hospital, telling the staff that the patients were very excitable and prone to bizarre fantasies.. The deception wasn't discovered for 3 days.

5. An American teenager was in the hospital recovering from serious head wounds received from an oncoming train. When asked how he received the injuries, the lad told police that he was simply trying to see how close he could get his head to a moving train before he was hit.

6. A man walked into a Louisiana Circle-K, put a $20 bill on the counter, and asked for change. When the clerk opened the cash drawer, the man pulled a gun and asked for all the cash in the register, which the clerk promptly provided. The man took the cash from the clerk and fled, leaving the $20
bill on the counter. The total amount of cash he got from the drawer... $15. [If someone points a gun at you and gives you money, is a crime committed?]

7. Seems an Arkansas guy wanted some beer pretty badly.. He decided that he'd just throw a cinder block through a liquor store window, grab some booze, and run. So he lifted the cinder block and heaved it over his head at the window. The cinder block bounced back and hit the would-be thief on the head, knocking him unconscious. The liquor store window was made of Plexiglas. The whole event was caught on videotape...
8. As a female shopper exited a New York convenience store, a man grabbed her purse and ran. The clerk called 911 immediately, and the woman was able to give them a detailed description of the snatcher. Within minutes, the police apprehended the snatcher. They put him in the car and drove back to the store. The thief was then taken out of the car and told to stand there for a positive ID. To which he replied, "Yes, officer, that's her. That's the lady I stole the purse from."

9. The Ann Arbor News crime column reported that a man walked into a Burger King in Ypsilanti , Michigan at 5 A.M., flashed a gun, and demanded cash. The clerk turned him down because he said he couldn't open the cash register without a food order. When the man ordered onion rings, the clerk
said they weren't available for breakfast... The man, frustrated, walked away. [*A 5-STAR STUPIDITY AWARD WINNER]

10. When a man attempted to siphon gasoline from a motor home parked on a Seattle street by sucking on a hose, he got much more than he bargained for.. Police arrived at the scene to find a very sick man curled up next to a motor home near spilled sewage. A police spokesman said that the man admitted to trying to steal gasoline, but he plugged his siphon hose into the motor home's sewage tank by mistake. The owner of the vehicle declined to press charges saying that it was the best laugh he'd ever had.

Soderno Food Trip

Just before the parenting conference started last Friday night, my hubby suddenly asked me: "Saan tayo kakain ng dinner?" I just smiled back and in my mind I said "Talaga nga naman ang hubby ko oh, di pa nagsisimula ang conference tinatanong na ako kaagad kung saan kami kakain ng dinner. Basta pagkain talaga, number 1 si Doc Padu."

Then he asked me again the same question. Di talaga ako tinantanan. Then I said "Soderno na lang". When I said that, there is a big smile in his face and he said in a childish and exciting way "Ay sige, sa Soderno!" I chose Soderno because it is open during night time and there are a lot of food choices there.

When we arrived at the area, I asked my hubby to drop me at the Korean grocery because I'm craving for a Korean Ice Cream. I bought this flower-shaped ice cream.

Korean Ice Cream Php 50.00

It is almost like an ice cream sandwich. Wafer on the outside and vanilla ice cream, red beans and sticky rice inside. It is very delicious.

Then we went inside Soderno and started strolling around to check on the booths.

Oohhh La La... Look at these... the uric acid and cholesterol station...

Ihaw - Ihaw
Hubby ordered this. It is called Bagwang. It is served with thinly sliced crispy pork jowls, fried rice and fried egg. Honestly, hindi ko siya masyadong type. It tastes bland for me plus it is not served hot. It just tastes like a bland chicharon. And I think pricey siya.

Bagwang Php 170.00
I bought takoyaki. I love takoyaki. I remember the takoyakis being sold in the streets of Hong Kong's night market. The best talaga with their sauce, mayo, dried fish powder and seaweeds. Yummy! But this one, hindi ko rin masyadong like. So so lang. It is not served hot kasi. Aside from that, yung filling niya iba. Instead of  octopus, they used crab sticks.

Takoyaki Php 70.00
I also ordered Manang's chicken. This one I like. I love the mix of flavors (original sauce and sesame seeds). Very crispy and juicy.

Manangs Fried Chicken Php 149.00
I like eating ihaw-ihaw, especially isaw manok/baboy. Malasa kasi siya eh. But this one, I don't really recommend. One secret to a delicious ihaw-ihaw is the sauce.

Para mawala ang umay, I ordered Mr. Tea's Milk Tea with pearls. Ok naman ang taste niya pero not that good compared with the other milk teas.
Mr. Tea Milk Tea Php 70.00
Hubby naman, he bought a 2 scoops of gelato for dessert for Php 200.00 (I forgot to take a picture of it). He chose 2 flavors: chili chocolate and Baileys.

So that ended our food trip. Next time we go back at Soderno we will try the roast beef and the steak.

The Twins Meet Jollibee

Last Sunday, we went to the 1st birthday party of Grei, the son of Louille who was my classmate in UP Manila. It was held in Jollibee, Shangri-la Mall. It was my twins first time to attend a Jolly Party.

My twins are very energetic that time. They keep on walking around and even dancing every time they hear a dance music. The time came when Jollibee, the mascot, arrived. I was very excited to see my sons' reactions. Good thing they are not afraid of Jollibee. They just stared and tried to touch him. Usually, babies are afraid of mascots eh. But... during the photo-op, when Jollibee tried to hug Chris, Chris got scared while Ian tried to go away (as you can see in the photo). Nakakatuwa kasi parang magkadikit talaga ang pusod nila kasi Ian was also affected when Chris got scared.

After some time, Chris was not afraid anymore with Jollibee kasi he was trying to touch na the foot of Jollibee. Si Ian naman, he was so bibo, he was dancing also while Jollibee was dancing.

Having kids pala is parang you are going back to your childhood ulit. You are invited to a series of children's party. And siyempre, I don't want to be KJ (kill joy) to my kids kaya go na lang ng go. In short, their happiness is also my happiness.
