Yesterday is a Freebie day for us! We got to take home the items below for free...
Maybe you are curious how we did it so I'll share it with you now. =)
* Half Max's Fried Chicken - It's from an Eastwest Bank credit card promo. I exchanged a P4,000.00 worth of Eastwest Bank credit card transaction for a half chicken.
* 2 bottles of 1.5L of Coke - These are from Shell's promo. For every P2,000.00 single or accumulated purchase of Fuelsave fuel or P1,500.00 single or accumulated purchase of V Power Nitro, you got to take home 1 bottle of 1.5L Coke.
* Coffee Maker, Slow Cooker and the rest - Halo halo na ito. I combined the GCs I got from HSBC and hubby's token from a post marketing survey plus my points in my BDO rewards card.
As in career kung career yan.
So by the time na magbabayad na kami, alam na namin kung anong card ang gagamitin namin and kung how much ang ipapa-swipe namin for each card.
Then yung ibang promo, masid masid lang habang nasa biyahe or naglalakad. Kailangan mabilis lang ang mata para updated. Hehe.
Then yung mga BDO Rewards or other loyalty card. It helps din talaga kasi you earn points while spending. Then by the time na ayaw mo maglabas ng cash, may pondo ka.
Yung iba kasi hindi pinapansin yung mga points na na-e-earn nila tapos na-eexpire lang without them exchanging it for something. Sa amin, ang gawa ko, I monitor it. Madalas we exchange it for GCs kapag malapit na ang pasko. Dagdag budget din kasi yan. =)
O di ba? Career lang talaga? Hehe. =)
How about you kina-career niyo rin ba yung mga promo na ganito?

Credit Card Perks of the Day
I was able to get the following for free this afternoon...
Big N' Tasty from my Metrobank credit card which I gave to hubby since I'm not eating pork and beef anymore. I have two transaction slips pa nga kaso hindi na pasok sa promo period. Napahiya pa nga ako kasi all the while akala ko until March 15 ang promo nila. Hehehe.
Sesame Street 3 DVD Pack from my Standard Chartered credit card. I was able to redeem P300.00 worth of SM gift certificate which I used to buy this. The remaining balance was paid using my BDO rewards points.
Ang saya ano? I don't have any cash out today. Hehehe. =)

A Little Shopping For Hubby
I went to The Big Sale at SM Southmall last March 1 to buy hubby a new pair of shoes since his current pair is dilapidated already.
Anyway, I decided to go to the day 1 of sale kasi may extrang 10% discount if you are an SMAC (SM Advantage Card) or BDO Rewards card holder if you shop from 10:00am to 12:00nn.
Let the pictures do the talking...
Eh no riding nga for babies and children...
Here are my loots that day:
A pair of shoes for hubby...
Briefs...
and a pair of slacks...
And guess what? P611.21 lang ang cash out ko! I have SM gift checks din kasi eh which I got from Standard Chartered promo.
To end this blog entry, eto ang mga narealize and natutunan ko after that little shopping experience:

After almost an hour sa pila, nakaraos din kami finally. Since we finished at around 12:00nn already, we went to Kenny Roger's to eat lunch. Sakto lang din kasi na I have Standard Chartered transaction slips wherein I could exchange for solo meals.
Here is our free lunch...

A Pet Peeve: Anonymous Callers Offering Credit Card Services
Anonymous callers offering credit card services such as cash loans, balance transfers, deferred payments etc. are so annoying. Lalo na if you are busy doing something na sobrang focused ka tapos biglang may tatawag na akala mo important call then in the end mag-ooffer lang pala ng something. Haaayyysttt! If I really need that kind of service, ako naman ang mismong tatawag sa credit card customer service eh.
Bakit ba ito ang topic ko ngayon? Kasi this afternoon, I'm in the middle of running in the treadmill, may tumawag sa cellphone ko which I thought is very important. Kaya kahit hingal na hingal at pawis na pawis ako, I answered it.

Monday Malling with the Kulilits
I checked out all the Standard Chartered Bank Credit Card charge slips that I collected and discovered that some are almost faded already (A problem with thermal paper. Tsk! Tsk! Tsk!) kaya I decided to exchange it na with SM gift pass bago pa mahuli ang lahat (minsan kasi they don't accept na when the charge slips are unreadable already).
By the way before I continue my kuwento, to those of you who have Standard Chartered Bank credit card, here is their latest promo (from January 1 to February 28, 2013):

So ayun na nga, I need to go to SM para mapapalitan ko ng SM Gift Pass ang mga charge slips ko. Pero I have one big problem. That is I need to go to SM Southmall with the kulilits (knowing na I don't have a yaya to bring with me and knowing them na ginagawang huge playground ang Southmall every time we go there). Pero malakas talaga ang fighting spirit ko kaya tinuloy ko pa rin ang pagpunta sa mall since it's one tricycle away lang naman from our house.
But...but...but... may ganito munang eksena sa bahay bago kami umalis...
Me: Come here boys, I need to talk to you first before we go to SM.
Ian and Chris: Both sat on the chair and listened to me.
Me: Boys, we will go to SM but you'll promise me one thing ha. You'll behave there since we don't have anybody to go with us...
Ian and Chris: Okay...
Me: No running around and you'll just hold mommy's hand ha...
Ian and Chris: Okay...
Me: You promise mommy or else we will not go to SM anymore...
Ian and Chris (doing a promise sign): Okay...
So ayun, lumarga na kaming mag-iina. Haaayyyssstttt. Pero I talked to them and reminded them about their promise. Buti at nakinig. Hahaha.
So we rode a tricycle going to Southmall. Enjoy na enjoy nila ang ride promise! Behave naman sila at naglakad with me. They even went up and down the overpass. Hehehe.
Inside Southmall, we saw this e-vehicle service and nag-joy ride muna kami around the mall. Unfortunately, out of stock ang hundreds nila na giftpass and next week pa magiging available kaya fail ang lakad namin. Since malapit na magfade yung charge slips ko, I told the staff na lagyan ng note na i-aaccept pa rin kahit maging unreadable na. She is nice naman and nilagyan ng note with signature yung back part ng charge slips ko. She even informed me na puwede ko ipakuha na lang sa ibang tao yung gift pass para hindi na ako mahirapan.
After that, we went to Tous le Jours to inquire if puwede nilang lagyan ng writing yung cake (I'm planning kasi to buy a cake there for the kulilit's birthday on Friday). Then, we saw the e-vehicle again and rode it going to the other side of the mall. Lunch na rin kasi and I still have some charge slips good to claim solo meals from Kenny Rogers. So there we went to Kenny Rogers to eat lunch.
Here are the kulilits on high chairs...
And here are our free solo meals c/o Standard Chartered Bank...
After lunch, I decided to go home already since malapit na ang sleeping time ng mga kulilits.
And oh, by the way, we got these coupons from Jollibee and Mc Donalds at the mall:
From Jollibee...

From Mc Donalds (they are not using ampao anymore for their coupons)...

That's it! Time to sleep now...
