Halloween 2014

Haha! Just want to share lang po...

For this year's halloween, WALA LANG! As in walang ka-effort effort! Bakit kamo? (1) Tamadochi kasi ako that time. I'm asking and giving them suggestions kasi kung ano ang gusto nilang costume for the halloween, pero walang ibang gusto kundi ang kanilang Spiderman costume. Haaayssttt... Naalala ko tuloy yung last year (you can read it here) nung nagtantrums si Ian dahil ang gustong costume ay yung Spiderman.

Anyway, eto lang ang scenario namin that day...

As in bonding bonding lang ang mag-aama. Watching TV and reading books - as simple as that. =)

Then, my MIL called hubby. Kaya I searched for a halloween event and settled in going to Westgate na lang (our usual halloween destination).

So here are my little Spideys with their daddy...

For Christoff naman,  he used Ian's cowboy costume...

As usual, there is a magic show at Westgate...

Here are my boys watching the magic show...

There are also games there, wherein the Kulilits joined one of the games...

After the event at Westgate, we ate dinner at BBQ Chicken and Beer in Molito. Sakto din kasi may halloween event din doon. Kaso lang, mas for my hubby yung event dahil rock band lang ang meron...

So while hubby is enjoying the rock band, kami naman ng mga Kulilits, nag-enjoy sa kulitan and habulan sa may grass area...

As in, takbo dito, takbo doon, tumbling dito, tumbling doon, gulong dito, gulong doon at kung ano ano pa! Pati kamo ako, nagtanggal ng aking shoes at nakilaro sa kanila. Ang sarap lang ng feeling to be carefree that night. Ang sarap lang talaga maging BATA!

Here are my boys enjoying the grass...

Here is also a video of the Kulilits that night...

Ang saya nila sobra ano? PRICELESS! I just let them be. Bata eh! =)

Yan ang happenings namin last halloween. Hopefully next year, mapaghandaan ulit namin...

Food Trip: Chicken Deli

Last Sunday, after hubby's patient rounds at AZH, we decided to have early dinner at Chicken Deli.

It's actually our second time to eat here. This time, I made sure that they'll serve us a newly cooked chicken inasal and not a newly heated one. I emphasized that when I ordered. Hehe. =)

When we were seated, I was surprised because a staff went to Chris and gave him some treats (Ian was asleep that time)...

That's because they have an ongoing trick or treat that time...

In fairness, the treats are not that cheap...

Moving on...

Here is their ordering counter with Halloween decors...

The menu...

The dining area...

We ordered the following:

Kangkong with Garlic...

P29.00

Pechopak...

P105.00

Paa...

P99.00

Halo Deli with CD Caramel...

P59.00 each

Take two... Now with hubby with his JLC look...

We also had bottomless iced tea for our drink which is priced at P45.00 each.

Well, our dining experience now is better than the first one. It really matters when the food is freshly cooked and served hot.

Before I end this blog entry. I want to share you the instruction on how to eat Chicken Deli Inasal which I saw in the restaurant.

Wash your hands thoroughly.

Prepare your dipping sauce by mixing spicy vinegar, soy sauce and calamansi.

Place chicken oil on your rice.

Eat using your bare hands!

Savor and enjoy your Chicken Delicious inasal and keep on coming back for more!

Namit talaga! (Very Delicious)

Tantrum & Feverish Halloween at Westgate

This year's Halloween is kinda nightmare for me. You know why? Because Ian had tantrums and Chris got feverish that's why we were forced to go home immediately. =(

We went to Westgate Alabang again for this year's trick or treat because they have lots of activities there such as games, magic show, production numbers, etc.

At first, the Kulilits were behave. They even agreed to take pictures at the stage. But you can see here that they were not in the mood that's why they were neither smiling nor looking at the camera...

After few minutes, Ian got into the mood already. We even had a wacky shot while waiting for our turn in the registration...

During the program proper, we sat with the other kids near the stage where Ian saw a kid in Spiderman costume. From that time on, he kept on asking me for his Spiderman costume. He told me that he doesn't want scarecrow costume anymore. He even tried to undress himself. When I told him that his Superman costume is at home, he started to have tantrum already. I just kept calm and told him that we will just go home if he continues to have tantrum. Good thing he listened.

Then while waiting for our turn at the photo booth, I noticed that Chris became weak so I checked on him. He's already starting to become feverish that time. But since we've already waited long enough for our turn, we just had our photos taken. You could see in the picture that Chris is really not feeling well.

After the photo booth, I asked Chris if he wants to go home. He told me that he wants to watch the magic show first before we go home.

During the first part of the magic show, the Kulilits watched attentively. Then Ian saw the kid in Spiderman costume again that led to another tantrum which is even worse. So that's it! That made me decide to just go home.

On our way to the car, both Chris and Ian are crying. Chris is crying because he wanted to finish the magic show first before going home while Ian is crying because he wants his Spiderman costume.

Then in the car, both of them don't want to go to the maids. Just imagine me, a preggy woman, driving a manual pick-up truck with the Kulilits on my lap. Yes, I know that's dangerous... But I don't have a choice and I'm really stressed that time.

Since I'm already stressed that time, I got really hungry that's why we went first to Chicboy Molito to eat. And guess how many rice I ate? I had 4! Sorry... That's me! If I'm so stressed out, I really tend to binge. =(

Anyhow, Ian still had tantrum episodes after Molito until we were home already. Super exagg! I told myself that I won't go out anymore with the Kulilits without my husband. I had enough already! Haaayyyssstttt...

On the other hand, we still got some loots from the event...

So that's my not so fun and traumatic 2013 Halloween experience. Hopefully, it will be better next year...

Kulilits' 2013 Halloween Costume

Getting Ready for Halloween =)

For this coming Halloween, I asked the Kulilits what costumes do they want to wear. They told me that they wanted to be a scarecrow.

I really don't know where did they get that idea. Haha! But, it's okay because it's very easy to make one. I just need hay, native hat, long sleeves polo, jeans and some scrap cloth. The first thing that came in my mind for the materials is Tabora St. in Divisoria. But who will go to Divisoria?

Hmmm... Mama G?

Last week, I was losing hope already because I still don't have the materials for the Kulilits' costumes. Then last Friday, it was a good thing that I called up Mama G because she was at Divisoria that time. I asked her if she could go to Tabora to buy the materials that I needed. She told me that she'll try to buy. Since she is a stage grandma, she still managed buy the materials. =)

And now, which Halloween event will we attend?

Most Halloween events are today, October 27. Since we are going attend a birthday party of the daughter of hubby's med school barkada in Quezon City, we won't be able to go to any Halloween events today.

We are just going to attend the Halloween event at Westgate on October 31 and office Halloween event of my MIL on November 1. =)

How about you? Are you ready this Halloween? What Halloween event/s are you going to attend?

Kulilit's Halloween 2012

Oh my! This blog post is supposedly done ages ago. Anong petsa na di ba? Hahaha. Anyway, better late than never naman di ba?

Well, it is the kulilit's 2nd Halloween. Last year they were angels and this year, they were cute pirates. They attended 3 Halloween events - Robinson's Galleria, La Marea Subdivision and Westgate Alabang. Di naman halatang kinareer di ba? Kailangan din kasing sulitin ang costume! Hehehe.

Event 1: Robinson's Galleria (October 28, 2012)

Pacheck-out na kami that time sa Crowne Plaza nung sumaglit ako sa Robinson's Galleria to buy some Wintermelon Milk Tea at the Gong Cha kiosk. Napansin ko na may trick or treat activity and since ako'y isang hamak na usisera, nilapitan ko yung in-charge at nag-inquire ako about it. She told me that the event is free-of-charge and we have to finish three challenges in order to get a loot bag and other free stuffs. Since free siya, dali dali akong tumawag kay hubby and instructed him not to get our car muna and pinapunta ko kaagad sila ng mga kulilits sa activity area.

So ayun na. Tapos since different areas yung activities, we had a chance na magtrick or treat sa mga stores na dinaanan namin.

I tell you, sulit naman dahil kotang kota na kami kaagad. Hehehe.

Here are some of their pictures from that event...

Event 2: La Marea Subdivision (October 28, 2012)

There is a P200.00 registration fee for each participant which is inclusive of the snacks, games, magic show and photo booth. There is a costume contest din wherein nagrampa ang mga participants. Hehehe.

Here is the proof nung nagdance sila...

In fact, they won the cutest costume...

Their prizes are endangered species Gund stuffed toys from Rustans - Cloud Rat and Tamaraw...

Ben the Cloud Rat

Diego the Tamaraw

Eto yung nanalo sa best in costume. Kakaiba nga naman and nakakatakot.

Hahaha.

We did not finish na the activities sa clubhouse kasi medyo late na. I asked my FIL na mag-trick or treat na kami around the subdivision kasi I overheard the organizers na yung ibang houses naubusan na ng mga ipinamimigay dahil may mga outsiders na nagtritrick or treat din. Buti at game ang FIL ko. So ayun na, nag-ikot ikot na kami and here are some of the photos of the kulilits...

I super love this shot...

Ang dami ano?

Event 3: Westgate Alabang's Spooktacular Halloween (October 31, 2012)

When we went to Gymboree at Westgate, we got a flyer for this event. Since free ang registration, gora kami dito. It was a night full of activities din. There are games, magic show, mascot appearances, photobooth, trick or treat and a lot of dancing.

Here are some of the pictures from that event:

After the magic show, we went around for the trick or treat activity. Too bad that not all the restaurants participated in the activity.

That night is very tiring but really fun specially when I see my boys enjoying the activities.

Well, that is my kulilit's halloween for this year. Ano naman kaya ang costume nila for next year??? Hmmmm...
