DISASTER!!!

Right now, my kulilits I could say is a walking disaster.

I want to share you some pictures:

Yung mga wines namin na nakadisplay sa wine cabinet, pinaglalaruan. Ang gawa ni Ian, pinaguumpog yung 2 bottles ng wine to create a sound.

Yung cabinet where we keep our frying pans and stock pots binubuksan. Tawag nga ng Ninang Vey namin dito kay Ian is Inspector Gadget.

Oh di ba, may nakuha na sa loob. Ano kaya ang balak niyang gawin dito?

While Chris here is busy playing with the mini cd player.

After sa kitchen, balik naman sila sa sala where we placed their kiddie table and chairs.

Nabasag yung beetle candy jar namin. Ang taas na niyan ha, pinilit abutin. Buti na lang di natibo si Ian.

In our room, para silang si Spiderman. They like climbing the windows. As a result, ang dami na nilang pasa sa shin. Buti na lang boys sila.

Grabe ang mga kulilits ko no? Sobrang hyper nila. Kanino kaya nagmana? Hehehe. Hopefully, mangayayat ako sa kababantay sa kanila. =)

Very Curious Twins

My twins are very curious nowadays. Lahat sinusubukan at walang takot. If I say "NO", lalo nila gagawin. Ayaw paawat. So I decided na para matuto sila, I'll let them experience na masaktan as long as I know na hindi naman delekado for them.

So there are two scenarios:

Scenario 1: Electric Fan

One time in our house, they are trying to play with the electric fan. Good thing walang sugat at hindi umiyak (brave no?). So I told them "See!".

Scenario 2: Lamp Shade

In our room, we have a lamp shade. We use it every night para naman hindi sobrang dilim ang room.

In this scenario, naalala ko yung story ng gamo gamo. As usual, very curious ang mga kulilits. Panay lapit sa lamp shade at gusto hawakan yung bulb. Incandescent pa naman. I told them not to hold it because it is hot. Ang kukulit! Niloloko pa ako. They are slowly reaching for the bulb while saying "hot! hot!."

Hindi nakatiis si Ian, he touched the bulb and cried like a cow. I told him "See! I told you it is hot." Then he immediately went to me and made lambing. When Chris saw what happened, I thought hindi na niya itritry hawakan yung bulb. But NO! He still did. Ayun, he cried also and went to me.

After that, they didn't attempt na to hold the bulb. Sila na mismo ang umaayaw if we are asking them to hold it. They will shake their head, say "Hot! Hot!" and go away.

Tulog Tulugan

I started to become a full time mom last July 1 and I am definitely enjoying it. Now, I can see my boys grow everyday.

Just recently, I discovered one kalokohan of Ian habang pinapatulog ko siya.

Paano kaya niya natutunan yun?

Haaayyy...can't wait to see more of my kulilit's kalokohan.

S&R Loots

We went to S&R yesterday after going to Church to buy diapers for my kulilits. Diapers lang talaga ang dapat bibilihin BUT hindi talaga maiiwasan ang mga tukso lalo na kapag kasama ang mga boys (hubby and kulilits).

Here are some of things that we bought aside from the diapers:

Again, a big can of Royal Dansk Luxury Wafers. He recognized the can and hindi ako tinantanan hanggat hindi ko dinadampot ito. He immediately asked me to open it at nakakain kaagad ng 2 sticks. What is good about this big can is that it has all the flavors inside - chocolate, vanilla and cappucino.

Kiddie table and chairs. I really wanted to buy table and chairs for my boys para dito sila kakain and gagawa ng activities namin. So when I spotted these at S&R, dinampot ko kaagad. Ang ganda eh! Actually, may blue chairs din kaso the creative side of me made me choose the green chairs. Boring kasi kung all blue. I want some contrast kasi para mas masaya ang dating. Maganda naman ang color combination di ba?

And for my hubby, ang parati niyang kinukulit sa akin na Blue Bunny Ice Cream. Wala kasing bukang bibig every time magtetext sa akin is "I want Blue Bunny!" o di kaya "Pa-Blue Bunny ka naman diyan!". We chose White Chocolate Macadamia Nut Cookie flavor para maiba naman. We usually buy Cookie Dough or Bunny Tracks kasi.

So that ended our day yesterday and we all went home happy =).

Like a Pro

My father-in-law is into real estate business. Aside from that, he is also an independent contractor. His recent project is at Regalia Towers. He bought a bare condominium unit there then renovated and designed it.

I want to share you the outcome of his project. Ang galing eh, considering that he is neither an architect nor interior designer but made the condominium unit look like built by a pro.

Here is the sala. This is convertible to another room. The couch used is a sofa-bed. Notice the painting? It is actually a cloth bought in Divisoria. My FIL just framed it. How resourceful di ba?

Here is the dining area.

Here is the kitchen. I like the cabinets and the way it is organized.

This is the other side of the kitchen.

The washing machine is built in one of the kitchen cabinets.

The ceiling.

The bedroom.

The bedroom cabinet. It has mirrors so that the room can look big.

Ang galing di ba? Sabi nga namin ni hubby sa kanya namin ipagagawa yung condo unit namin in the future.

If you are interested to get my FIL as a contractor, you call contact him at 8815441 or 8697095.

Fun at the Bath Tub

My kulilits are so addicted to waters. As in swimming! Siguro magiging Eric Buhain ang kambal in the future. When we where in Subic, pinunterya kaagad nila ang bath tub sa hotel room namin.

See here?

Hala! Wisik dito, wisik doon. Nabasa na si Manang!

Hala sige, kaya mo yan Manang! Hehehe.

Aren't my twins so adorable?

The Lighthouse Marina Resort

I just want to share you the pictures of our hotel room at The Lighthouse Marina Resort Subic. The hotel is super nice and cozy.

The room's office desk (if that's what it is called).

The uber comfy king-sized bed. Kasya kaming apat (me, my hubby and twins) dito kahit gumulong gulong pa.

The mini-bar. Siyempre di namin ginalaw mga foodie dito, mahal eh. Hehehe.

This is the shower area.

The hotel's shampoo, conditioner and liquid soap. The thing I hate about hotel shampoo and conditioner is matigas sa buhok that is why I still bring my own shampoo.

The room's vanity area. Simple but it serves its purpose.

The toiletries. In fairness, complete siya.

The room's toilet. Buti na lang at may bidet. Mahirap kasi kapag wala. Lam niyo na. Wala kasing tabo sa hotel. Hehehe.

The bath tub which my kulilits love.

The room's veranda. Nice no?

The view from our room. Very serene.

The side table with an iPod dock.

The room's TV with DVD player.

And of course, our welcome treats. Some fresh fruits and chocolate cookie. Yum! Yum!

I highly recommend this hotel. Friendly and helpful and mga staff dito. It is also strategically located. Malapit sa nigh life, malls, duty free shops and hospital.

We Go for Globe Tattoo DSL

My hubby had the final decision in choosing our internet provider. Based on the reviews that he read, the best internet would still be DSL. So we have to choose between PLDT or Globe. Globe is very much cheaper than PLDT so we go for Globe Tattoo DSL.

For only P1,099.00 we can have upto 1Mbps internet and a landline. Pwede na di ba? I'm not planning to get landline sana but additional P100.00 lang may landline na kaya we decided to get it. Unlike sa PLDT, additional P700.00 on top of the high speed DSL P1,200.00 fee.

So the other day, we applied online. Then the following day may feedback na. Ang bilis no? Bigla tuloy ako natuwa sa Globe. This Saturday na nga sana ang installation kaso may work pa ako. So I asked my hubby to call Globe and resched it na lang on Monday.

Yipee! Magkakainternet connection na kami sa house. Sana di ako mabigo ng Globe. =)

The Kulilits in Boracay

My kulilit's first beach experienec is at Miami, Florida but they weren't able to swim there. Galing kasi sila sa sakit that time. What I just did is that I had them feel the sand. They were scared at first. Maybe because parang lumulubog sila siguro every time they step on the sand. Kaya bandang huli nagpakarga na lang sila.

In Boracay, nakakatawa yung initial reaction nila. Pero bandang huli ok na sila since we brought some beach toys. Nalibang naman yung mga kulilits. They enjoyed playhing with the sand.

Chris & Ian

Chris & Ian with their Daddy

I didn't make them swim at the beach. I'm scared baka they might get E. Coli. Nakakaparanoid kasi eh.

Chris & Ian with their Daddy

Their Mama G bought that for them. She knows kasi that they love swimming. Kaso nga lang, kailangan pa ng alalay since di pa nila kaya icontrol yung floater trunks nila.

That's my kulilit's adventure in Boracay. Hopefully kapag nagbeach kami ulit makapagswim na sila.

"Hello Gabriel"

Please meet Gabriel...

My name is Francis Gabriel Elayda Academia, 6 years old, full of life and energy. If you see me on the play ground, you’ll think I’m like any other healthy little boy. As you look closer, you’ll notice that unlike other children my age I don’t speak a word and all you can hear is laughter and a lot of strange noises. This is where you find out after asking around that I don’t speak a single word because I’m hearing impaired. To tell you more about me, I was diagnosed with bilateral sensory neural hearing loss when I was one. My mother on a shoestring budget got me the cheapest hearing aid in the market after 3 months from the time a doctor asked her to get me a pair. That hearing aid for my right ear was all we could afford when it should have been for both. At age 3, my mother enrolled me at a special school for the hearing impaired. Since I was behind all my classmates, my teacher has recommended that I first undergo one-on-one speech therapy with a speech pathologist and behavioral modification with an occupational therapist before I can rejoin the group. In spite of getting another hearing aid for my other ear, I had little progress which prompted my therapist to recommend a cochlear implant and high powered hearing aid. This is really impossible at the moment because of the financial obligation we are facing. Because of this, I’m knocking on your door for help. I hope you can lend me a helping hand in this endeavor so I can hear and in the future utter my first word.

Gabriel Elayda is the son of my bestfriend Monica Elayda. He'll be undergoing a cochlear implant this September. He'll be needing more than a million Pesos for the procedure so his relatives organized a fund raising activity (Raffle) for him.

Friends, if you want to extend your help, kindly contact me or my friend.

What Happened to You My Dear Boracay?

I'm really saddened to what is happening right now to Boracay. During the first week of June we were there for our company outing and I was shocked to see its present condition. It looks completely different as compared to what it looks like the first time I visited the beach in 1990's .

Here are the pictures I took...

There are a lot of dead seaweeds at the sea shore. Nakakadismaya. Kadiri tignan for me.

Dirty Sea Shore
There are a lot of algae in the water. They look so scary to me. I remembered Chuvaness' post here http://chuvaness.com/7439/kids-moms/e-coli-more-fun-in-boracay/. That's why I didn't allow my kulilits to swim in the beach.

Water with seaweeds and algae

The beach with lots of trash. Plastic wrappers everywhere. I really don't know why people are so cruel dumping their waste in the waters.

Water with floating trash

I hope the government will do something about Boracay. Sayang kasi. Sana maibalik yung dating beauty niya which made it popular around the world. Sana maging ganito ulit ang Boracay...
