Rainy Independence Day at Soler

Since it was a holiday yesterday, I requested hubby to accompany me to Soler (in Chinatown) so that I could buy the materials that we need for the on-going renovation of our house in BF Resort. Nagbakasyon kasi yung helper ko eh, kaya wala akong mapag-iwanan ng mga bata. So si hubby hindi ko na pinapasok para siya ang magsilbing driver ko at babysitter ng mga boys habang ako naman ay iikot sa Soler.

Pero.... Bad trip naman! Bakit kamo? Pagdating namin sa Soler, iilan lang ang bukas na mga tindahan. Sarado din pala ang mga stores dun kapag holiday. Ang weird lang talaga. Akala ko pareho ng Divisoria na walang holiday holiday. Kaya ayun, hindi ko nabili lahat ng mga dapat kong bilhin. So ngayon, ita-take note ko na yan, na never na ako pupunta ng Soler ng holiday. Haha!

Anyway, eto ang mga nai-shopping ko kahapon para sa house namin:

Master's bedroom shower set...

Ang napili ko diyan is yung nasa gitna, yung katabi ng square. Mura lang yan, tatak "buhin" kasi eh. Haha! Hindi ko pa kasi carry magsplurge sa mga branded eh, yung mga tipong 5 digits ang presyo. Mukha namang matibay eh, kaya pwede na siguro. And first time ko magpagawa ng house, so experience yan sa akin para kapag magpapatayo na ako ng talagang dream house ko (naks naman!), alam ko na. Hehe.

Unbranded din ito and it's cheaper than the master's shower set.

Kitchen sink...

I got a medium-sized sink with a drain. Kapag masyado kasing malaki, baka naman maging puro lababo na yung kitchen ko. Hehe.

Eto yung sinuggest sa akin - bago raw and uso ngayon. Kaya ayun, naki-in na rin ako. Haha!

Supposedly sa Wilcon ako bibili ng granite tiles. Pero ang laki ng difference ng price kaya bumili na ako.

Tool box...

Our existing toolbox needs a replacement na kasi eh. Kaya eto, yung magandang klase na ang binili ko.

After more than two hours of walking around (yes, para akong nagwork-out kahapon sa tagal ng nilakad ko), sobrang namumuti na ang mga mata ko sa gutom, kaya niyaya ko si hubby to eat at Sincerity located at Lucky Chinatown Mall. Aside sa gutom na ako, way ko rin yan ng panunuhol sa asawa ko para di magreklamo. Hehe.

After eating, iniwan ko muna sila hubby sa restaurant para magbakasakali ulit ako makahanap ng mga pang-electrical such as switches, dimmers and outlets. Meron din daw kasi dun sa 11/88 and 999 eh. Pero pagdating ko dun sa mga mall na yun, yung mga tinda eh yung mga generic lang and yung mga mukhang hindi mapapagkatiwalaan. Kaya ayun, sa awa ng Diyos, hindi pa rin ako nakabili. Haha!

Para naman hindi ako umuwi ng luhaan, bumili na lang ako ng mga microfiber churva:

Ang cute di ba? Ang gandang pang-give away sa pasko. Kaya bumili na ako ng marami.

Eto naman, pamalit sa mga basahan ko sa bahay. I'll use this kapag nakatransfer na kami sa new house namin (excited lang).

So ayan ang happenings namin kahapon. Next time na lang ulit ako bibili ng iba pang materials. =)

The Mind Museum (A Photoblog)

Finally, after so many attempts to post this entry, I am now sharing the pictures of our trip at The Mind Museum last March.

I'll just make it a photoblog ha para naman hindi na ako masyadong mag-isip. Hahaha! Nakakapagod na kasi nowadays eh. Sobrang busy talaga. Kaya nga pansin niyo, bihira na lang ako makapagblog.

After we checked what's inside the mind museum, we went to the Science-in-the-Park. It's actually a huge educational playground for the kids. =)

The Kulilits really enjoyed playing here which made our trip very sulit!

Those tall white thingy are drums. Dyan naman nagtagal si Doc Padu. Lam niyo naman yun, mahilig sa tambol. Hehe.

So that's our trip at The Mind Museum. Ang ganda ano? Sobrang class ng museum at talagang pinagkagastusan. Sulit ang binayad namin dahil talaga namang nag-enjoy kami lahat. =)

Food Trip: Som's Noodle House

Since hubby and I were "almost" on our just the two of us moment today ("Almost" because hindi pwedeng mawalay sa akin ang aking loyal bodyguard na si Christoff. Hehe.), nilubos lubos na namin. We had an impromptu dinner date. Saan kamo? We ate at Som's Noodle House near Rockwell. We chose Som's because (1) minsan lang kami magawi somewhere in that area na kami lang dalawa and (2) namiss namin ang Som's specially their Pad Thai noodles and Thai Milk Tea.

At first, we went to their branch somewhere in Mandaluyong City Hall. Unfortunately, hindi namin nakita yung Som's doon kasi wala na pala! Haha! Ang tagal na kasi since the last time we ate there eh. Binabaha raw doon kaya clinose na lang nila yung branch. 

At dahil gusto talaga namin kumain ng Thai food sa Som's, we just went to their original branch in Makati. When we arrived there, nagulat kami sa major changes. Hindi na siya yung dating restaurant na nasa bahay lang at banketa. Nagtransform na siya into a restaurant setting pero hindi naman yung tipong bonggang bongga. Haha!

Still, meron pa rin silang al fresco area near the banketa like before pero better version naman...

Ang sarap talaga nito promise! I love the woody taste of the tea which blended well with the milk. Lasang lasa niya talaga yung Thai Milk Tea na natikman ko sa Thailand.

Siyempre, di rin mawawala ang Pad Thai Noodles...

We ordered the Seafood Pad Thai Noodles. Higher yung price niya compared sa regular Pad Thai Noodles (Obvious ba? Haha!). At first, I asked the waitress why is it maputla this time pero wala naman palang effect ito sa taste. It still tastes good like before plus ang dami daming sahog. This is actually good for 3-4 persons.

Shrimp Cake...

We were supposed to order Thai Spring Rolls kaso lang pork lang ang meron sila kaya iba na lang inorder namin. Then next choice namin is Fish Cake kaso unavailable din. Kaya ayan, we ended up with the Shrimp Cake. Good choice pa rin naman kasi yummy din siya lalo na't ang init niyang sinerve sa amin plus the dipping sauce which complemented well with it.

Isaw ng Manok...

Yes, tama ang nakikita niyo may isaw ng manok. Haha. Maybe you are wondering bakit meron ganyan sa Thai restaurant. Well, meron kasi silang ihaw ihaw sa labas. In fairness ha, masarap ito. Very tasty siya and hindi dry.

Each item in their menu is actually good for 3 to 4 persons. Since heavygatin kaming mag-asawa, medyo sakto lang sa amin yang inorder namin. For me, I'm super busog while si hubby tamang busog (Yup, may ganun kaming mga terms. Haha!). Kaya when it comes to the bill, medyo naging expensive ang dinner namin. P715.00 (with 10% service charge) kasi ang nakain namin. For that kind of restaurant, yung tipong hindi naman classy ang dating, medyo parang expensive siya. But still, ok lang naman sa amin because nasatisfy naman kami in terms of taste and quantity. Kumbaga, worth it pa rin naman ang pagdayo namin sa Som's. Hindi kami nabigo. =)

Lola's Boys

My boys are so blessed because they have loving and thoughtful grandmothers. They are lolas' favorites! No choice ang mga lola eh kasi sila lang ang apo nila both sides. Haha. Kidding aside, talagang love na love sila ng kanilang mga lola. Di baleng wala sila or ang kanilang mga anak, huwag lang ang kanilang mga apo. Sila rin ang number one kakampi ng mga boys kapag napapagalitan namin sila. Kaya naman ang mga yan (Kulilits), mega umiiyak kuno kapag kaharap ang kanilang mga lola. Hehe.

Tignan niyo naman, kahit walang okasyon, laging may natatanggap na mga blessings ang mga boys from them. Yesterday, Mama G gave the boys one tray of organic eggs and grapes.

And today, the boys received a lot of PJs from Lola Es...

Oh di ba? Sa mga boys (Kulilits and Christoff) lang yang mga yan. Kasweswerteng mga bata di ba?
