Simple Pleasures at Aling Banang

We are not that pihikan when it comes to restaurants or food stalls. Kahit saan basta alam naming masarap go kami! Minsan nga di ba, mas satisfying pang kumain sa bangketa kaysa sa mga fancy restaurants? Yung tipong gagastos ka ng pagkalaki laki tapos in the end hindi ka naman solve dahil its either hindi masarap or bitin ka.

Anyway, after the parenting seminar that I attended last Saturday, nagkayayaan kami maglunch nila Kuya Bimbo. By the way, Kuya Bimbo and Ai accompanied me to the seminar. Sila ang nagbaby sit sa mga kulilits that time (practice ba?). Super thank you guys dahil sinamahan niyo ako kahit every weekend lang kayo nakakapag QT mag-asawa!

Going back to my story... 

Kuya Bimbo suggested that we have lunch at Robinson's Magnolia. Pero ako, may naka-mindset na akong kakainan. That is at Aling Banang's! We were in New Manila na kasi that time and konting tawid lang nasa E. Rodriguez branch na kami ng Aling Banang. Namiss ko kasi ang ice cream halo halo nila eh which is super sarap and yet very very affordable (less than P50.00). I told Kuya Bimbo about it and go rin sila.

So there we went...

It's a very simple restaurant - carendiria type. Pero in fairness ha, ang dami na nilang branches.

The restaurant is aircool (not airconditioned). Ito lang ang bad point nila dahil hindi nakaka-enjoy kumain sa mainit na lugar lalo na kapag may mga kasama kang mga chikitings.

We ordered the following:

For Kuya Bimbo and Ai, they had dinuguan, lechon kawali and pansit palabok. Maygayd, I miss their dinuguan. It's the best eh! Kung di ko lang binanned ang sarili kong kumain ng pork at beef, malamang sa malamang I ordered it too! Buti na lang malakas ang aking self control. Hehehe.

And for our dessert, we had their famous ice cream halo halo. Literally, ice cream was used instead of ice shavings. Hindi ka kasi kumain sa Aling Banang kapag hindi ka nag-order nito eh. Kahit mura lang siya, very generous ang serving right?

Guess what how much ang total bill namin for all of those? P475.00 lang lahat yan and solve na solve na kami. Panalo talaga!
