Family Sunday: Mc Cormick Grilled Nation Event

After our lunch at ATC with my in-laws, we went to Bonifacio High Street to attend the Mc Cormick Grilled Nation Event. I love cooking kasi that's why we went there. New cooking ideas ba and siyempre nagbakasakali na rin manalo ng Mc Cormick grill kit and foldable outdoor griller.

We arrived at the event's area around 3:45pm and we registered na...

Registration Area

Mc Cormick Booth

There is a P100.00 registration fee which is very sulit because it includes Mc Cormick loot bag (worth more than P200.00) and you get to sample grilled treats at 8 participating booths since you'll be voting for the Best Grill Nation booth.

Here are the contents of the Mc Cormick loot bag...

Mc Cormick Apron and Mc Cormick Products - Korean Fried Chicken Mix, Pepper Steak Marinade Mix,  Hickory Smoked Seasoning Mix, Korean BBQ Marinade Mix, Cajun Marinade Mix and Steak Ala Pobre Seasoning Mix

Since we are early birds, we were given Garlic Bread Spread. This is an additional item given to the first 20 registrants.

We were given also our raffle stub which is also the passport for the booths...

We went around the event's area and checked out the eight booths.

L-R: Iway's Sinugba, Pand's Superb Barbecue, Fat Juicy Burger and Schmidts International Gourmet Hodogs...

L-R:  Your Events Catering Services, Kiom's Loft, Ariba Quesadilla and Oishi Oberto...

Here are the grilled treats that we gathered from the eight booths:

Clockwise: Cebu Lechon and Cebu Chicken from Iway's Sinugba, Hotdog Sandwich from Schmidts International Hotdogs and Burger from Fat Juicy Burger...

Clockwise: Barbecue from Pand's Superb Barbecue, Skewers from Kiom's Loft, Chicken and Spam Maki Rolls from Oishi Oberto and Quesadillas from Ariba Quesadilla

I forgot to take a picture of the grilled chicken wings of Your Events Catering Services since it is the last food that we got.

I only tried the chicken items since I'm not eating pork and beef anymore. I loved Iway's sinugba and Your Events Catering Services because their food is juicy and flavorful.

Hubby and I voted for Iway's sinugba by the way.

We also checked out the raffle and game prizes...

Since we were there early, we caught Basti Artadi rehearsing for his performance.

At dahil makapal ang fes ko, pinapicture ko ang mga kulilits with him after the rehearsal.

Chris, Basti Artadi and Ian

Sobrang tuwa ni hubby ha dahil may souvenir picture ang mga kulilits with his idol. Kainis nga eh kasi ayaw ni hubby magpapicture. If I know, deep inside, atat siya magpapicture. (Ano raw? Connect? What a reasoning di ba?)

Then the program started na. The host started it with a game na huhulaan kung ano tawag sa mga kitchen tools na flinaflash sa screen. Unfortunately, di kami natawag. Hehehe.

After the games, there was a cooking demo by Chef DJ wherein he cooked Hickory Chicken, Korean BBQ, Peppered Vegetables, Cajun Shrimp and Grilled Liempo ala Pobre Style. Hindi ko nga napanuod ito eh because I went to Metro Supermarket to buy liters of water kasi sobrang nakakadehydrate ang init and humidity sa place. Sorry, umiral lang ang pagkakunat ko kasi naman yung 350ml na they are selling sa event is P35.00 compared sa nabili ko na around P15.00 lang per liter. Anyway, buti na lang at they gave away copies of the recipe kaya ok lang na namiss ko.

When I came back, nagpeperform na ang Verve Project band...

After Verve Project's performance, may games ulit and question and answer portion. Si hubby nakakuha ng prize for answering.

Host: What are your grilling tips?
Hubby: When you grill, make sure you have a bucket of beer!

And eto ang prize niya...

Bread spreads! I'm super excited to try these with French bread...

Herb parmesan, garlic and pesto flavors...

After the games, cooking demo naman by Sabrina Artadi wherein she cooked Pepper Steak Burgers, Grilled Pork Chops with Summertime Salsa and Cinnamon Smores. Panalo yung Cinnamon Smores promise! I would love to prepare that at home.

Then ang pinakahihintay ni hubby (a bonus for him) na acoustic performance of Basti Artadi...

Ang galing ni Basti sobra. He is a real performer. Very flexible ang voice niya. Hindi lang siya pang rock!

Then they awarded the Best Grill Nation Booth which is Schmidts International Gourmet Hotdogs...

And for the grand raffle, hindi kami nanalo =( We were really hoping dahil naka 3 draws sila since wala yung mga unang natawag kaya naforfeit. Super lucky ng nanalo. Gusto ko kasi ng outdoor griller eh wala pa kasi ako nun.

After the awarding and grand raffle, nagperform ulit si Basti and this time ang mga kulilits nagsayaw  infront of the stage...

Ang kulit lang ng kambal ano? Ang dami ngang naaliw and nagpicture sa kanila eh. They never fail to get attention talaga anywhere we go.

That's it! Tiring but fun! We really enjoyed the event!!!
