Kulilits Moments: On Yakult, Paper and Dog

Ang tagal na since the last time I wrote about my conversations with the twins. Here are some few that I would like to share.

Scenario 1: For the Sake of Yakult

Yesterday, my son, Chris, woke up with an ouchie tummy...

Chris: Mommy, my tummy is ouchie.
Me: Oh baby, you're tummy is ouchie. Come here let me kiss your tummy.

after kissing his tummy...

Me: Go drink a Yakult. That will help you remove your ouchie.

after saying that...

Ian: Mommy, my feet are aching. I need to drink Yakult.
Me (smiling): Come here baby, let me kiss your feet then you drink your Yakult too.

After Ian drank his Yakult, I talked to him and told him that he doesn't need to pretend just to ask for a Yakult, what he needs to do is just ask me.

Scenario 2: Pilosopong Chris

Earlier during our homeschool session...

Me: Chris, can you read this to me please. What is this?
Chris (referring to what I'm holding): Paper!

What is this kasi ang tanong ko eh. Hahaha! Sobrang mga pilosopo and minsan niloloko ako while we are homeschooling.

Speaking of being pilosopo and maloko, kanina rin may ganito kaming conversation...

Scenario 3: I Don't Know

While making them read dog (which I know they know)...

Me: Spell this out Chris...
Chris: D...O...G... DA-O-GA...
Me: So how do you read it?
Chris (with his naughty grin): Hmmmmm....
Me (giving a clue): What is Pawie?
Chris: Pawie is an animal!
Me: So, what kind of animal is Pawie?
Chris (saying it with a tune): I DON'T KNOW!!!
Me: Oh, Pawie is a CAT!
Chris: No! Pawie is not a cat mommy. He is a DOG!
Me: See! I knew it! You silly Chris!

Ang kulit lang talaga di ba?

I really love my boys! They are so fun to be with. Hinding hindi ako maiinip when I'm with them.

Christoff's 11th Month Celebration

Christoff turned 11 months yesterday. As always, we had a simple party to celebrate it. Since it fell  on a Sunday, we made it lunch time.

Here are the food I prepared yesterday...

Ginataang sitaw at kalabasa, chicken lumpiang shanghai, fried tilapia,
miki bihon guisado, hickory smoked pork and Daisee cake

And of course, the obligatory pictures of the celebrant with his cake of the month...

Unfortunately, we didn't have a family picture yesterday because my other son, Chris, was not feeling well that time.

One month to go and big celebration na ng aking bunso and I'm really excited about it! =)

Food Trip: Gastronomic Adventure at Ling Nam Pasig Branch

Hubby and I went to Pasig this morning to attend the TMA homeschool orientation in preparation for the Kulilits' formal homeschooling. Just across the orientation venue, sits Ling Nam restaurant which is truly inviting because of their poster which says "P499.00 order all you can eat".  Since we are both dim sum enthusiasts and knowing that Ling Nam serves good food, we agreed that we'll eat there after the orientation.

So there, at around 11:00am, we headed to Ling Nam to have our early lunch.

Restaurant's facade...

Their "order all you can eat" poster...

Restaurant's interior...

Restaurant's wall with a brief history of Ling Nam...

You wanna see what we ordered? I only have one request and that is PLEASE DON'T BE SURPRISED. Hahaha!

1 order of beef hofan noodles..

5 orders of chicken feet...

2 orders of hakaw...

1 order of seafood roll...

1 order of pork siomai...

2 orders of siopao - asado and bola bola...

1 order of beef wanton noodles...

and 1 order of fish with corn sauce...

By the way, their order all you can eat promo includes a refillable iced tea...

Hahaha! In fairness, kahit promo siya, ang SARAP SARAP pa rin ng food nila and their food was served steaming hot! Ang pinakapatok sa amin is their chicken feet. Kaya nga naka-5 orders kami eh. Hehe.

Sulit na sulit yung P998.00 namin. Nahiya na nga kami kaya tumigil na kami mag-order. Haha!

Siya nga pala, they also have merienda meals promo priced at P100.00 only...

Highly recommended namin ito guys. If you want to try it, it is located at Transcom Building in Pasig (just beside Tiendesitas).

That's our latest gastronomic adventure and it did not disappoint. We went home with a happy tummy! =)

Kids will be Kids and Boys will be Boys

Having kids at home is a real mess and that is normal. What do you think if all of those kids are BOYS? I think you call it a DISASTER!!!

Well, yan ang itsura ng house namin ngayon. Para kamong laging dinadaanan ni Yolanda. As in!!!

Like for example, itong reindeer basket ko, binali nila ang sungay...

Kaloka talaga! Matanda pa sa kanila yan eh. Buti na lang at may pagka-MacGyver ako. Ginamitan ko ng toothpick. Tadaaaa...

Then, ang wall namin... Ayan, ginawa na namang malaking blackboard...

Imagine, 2 months palang kaming nakalipat, nabinyagan na! Good thing at na-experience ko na yan sa dati naming house which I blogged here. I used WD-40 to clean it. Effective talaga, in fairness, good as new na siya.

And lastly (this will really gross you out), do you know what are these?

Yes, hindi kayo namamalikmata. Those are boogers on the wall. In Tagalog, KULANGOT SA PADER!!! I sent this exact picture to my hubby thru Viber. Hahaha!

Kids talaga... Nakakainis na nakakatuwa di ba?

Sunday Lagare + Centris Walk

Yesterday is such a hectic Sunday for us. As in lagare to the max. Si Curacha lang naman ang peg ko that day. Hahaha!

First, I had less than 3 hours of sleep. Kuya Bimbo and Ai kasi went to our house eh. As usual, kwentuhan galore na naman kami. Umuwi sila ng mga past 3:00am na. Ang nakakatawa pa dun is naiwan nila yung supposedly na ipinunta nila (the king crab claws that my MIL gave them).

Wala kasi akong excuse to wake up late. Dahil kung pinili kong matulog, wala kaming kakainin for this week.

Anyway, when I arrived home, we readied for the first party that we'll attend that day. 10:30am ang party so we left home at around 10:00am. Tapos we don't have a gift yet. Kaya ayun, pinauna ko na muna si hubby with the kids sa party while I look for a gift.

After the first party, lipad kami to Max's Sucat to attend naman a Christening party. As expected, late kami. Pero grabe ha, busog pa ako from the first party tapos kain na naman. Hehe.

Then for the last event that day was my brother's birthday celebration. Since gabi pa naman yun, we got to rest at my parents' condo at Newport. Hehe.

We left the condo a little bit past 5:00pm since 6:00pm daw ang dinner sabi ng aking brother. The venue is at Eton Centris. We went to Centris Walk in particular...

Yun nga lang, it's too far from where we live. Kumbaga, probinsya na sa amin yun. Tapos with the matching heavy traffic sa EDSA, nevermind na lang. Hehe.

Anyway, here are some pictures around the place:

There are many restaurants around the area...

A playground...

Bungee Fun...

We celebrated my brother's birthday at Kuse. Filipino food siya pero may konting twist. In fairness ha, masarap yung mga food nila plus yung rice nila malagkit lagkit tapos served steaming hot. Hehe.

Here is our picture at the restaurant...

Ang dami namin right? Hehe. =)

After dinner, libot libot muna kami. Supposedly, I'm suppose to try the Bungee Fun. Unfortunately, the guy manning it did not allow me. Super bad trip talaga. =(

Pero buti na lang ang mga Kulilits, brave like their mommy. Kahit hindi nila ako nakitang mag-bungee they still tried it.

Here are their videos:

Ian...

Chris...

Then after ilang minutes, we called it a day na.

That's our tiring but fun Sunday!!! Goodnight guys! =)

Pasalubong From Europe and Dubai

Papa G and Mama G just came back from their 3-week Europe and Dubai trip. Sarap nila ano? Panay ang gala. Actually, sa work talaga yun dahil sa business meeting with Crowe Horwath International in Paris.

Deserving naman sila for this kind of vacation because of their hardwork here in the Philippines kaya nga I'm very happy for them. Excited na excited nga ako for them bago pa sila umalis eh. Ang tagal na rin kasi nilang gusto pumunta doon and timing din dahil they just celebrated their 35th wedding anniversary.

Sobra ngang dami nilang pictures and kitang kita sa kanilang mga mukha na they really enjoyed the trip. Wait, may naalala ako. As in flooding to the MAX!!! Hahaha! Hahaha.

Sa shopping naman, si mommy pigil na pigil daw siya dahil ilang kilo lang ang allowed na baggage for them. You want to see my parents' pasalubong for us?

Here are their pasalubong for the boys...

Camel stuffed toys, Laughing Cow cheese, Boots, T-Shirt, Toothbrushes and some Patchi chocolates

Sabi kasi niya sa akin bago sila umalis, that she'll buy them boots dahil maraming nice leather boots dun. Yung Patchi chocolates naman, bigay yun ng cousin ko from Dubai, nagshare lang sila sa amin since chocolate lover si Ian.

Here are their pasalubong for me...

Leather bag, everyday canvas bag, Christmas chocolates, Christmas knives, pistachio nougat and decorative tissue

The leather bag doubles as a birthday gift na for me since it was my birthday last October 22. My mom asked me if type ko and here is our conversation...

Type mo ba?

Me: Hmmm... Ok lang naman kaso parang pangmatanda...

Mama G: Pangmatanda ba? Yan ang uso ngayon na designs eh. And besides, matanda ka na eh!

Hehehe.

I really loved the everyday canvas bag. Ang lakas maka-chic eh. Pang-araw araw talaga. =) And the Christmas chocolates, pang display ko raw yun sa table ko. Ang nice din nung mga knives eh. Sobrang cute!

And here's a pahabol pa...

This is a ceramic choker and bracelet in one. Very Mama G ito. That's even during her dalaga days.

Aside from that, may mga ref magnets pa raw siyang ibibigay.

And here are the pasalubong for hubby...

Assorted cheese and perfume

Hehehe.
