Adventures in Taiwan: Chiayi Day 1

This is it! Finally, I'm blogging about our Taipei trip last month. Sorry naman! Ang toxic po kasi mamili ng mga pictures and then I have to resize it pa. =(

Here is the part 1...

We booked our flight from Air Asia. Cheaper and good flight schedule compared to Philippine Airlines and Cebu Pacific. The only drawback is that we have to travel all the way to Clark for our flight. Pero ok lang naman, it is only around 1 1/2 to 2 hours travel time from our house in Las Pinas.

We arrived at Clark early enough for our 12:05pm flight so we looked first for a place to eat our baon. Yes, we brought with us a baon. Haha! We saw an aviation park nearby so dun kami nagpicnic. Sobrang natuwa ang mga kulilits kasi may mga old fighter planes, helicopter and playground sa park.

At around 9:30am, we went na to Diosdado Macapagal International Airport for our flight.

As usual, pinagkaguluhan sila. Chickboy in the making nga raw eh. Hehehe.

Fast forward tayo ha...

We arrived at Taoyuan International Airport at around past 2:00pm already. We went straight to Chiayi (Southern part of Taiwan) which is around 3 1/2 hours travel from the airport. Parang interstate lang ang road going to Chiayi. Hindi boring because of the beautiful scenery. Meron din silang rest area. Here is the photo of the restroom which I think is picture worthy because of the number of cubicles in it...

Before going to the house of my dad's business partner, we first ate dinner at a beautiful hotel/restaurant  located on the mountain. Too bad I didn't get the name of the place (Fail!).

Here are some photos of the place that my hubby took...

Ang nice ng place ano? Very modern ang architecture and super serene ng view.

We ate hot pot which is perfect for the climate there. Winter kasi that time sa Taiwan eh kaya sobrang lamig.

I got the vegetarian hot pot. I so love the food presentation. Para lang flower arrangement yung different kinds of mushroom. In fairness ha, delicious ang food and very filling.

Here are the sauces and my favorite is the peanut sauce...

Hubby got lamb slices with curry broth...

Hubby took an artistic shot of the place before we left the place...

After dinner, we went to the house of my dad's business partner where we stayed for 2 nights. Yung house nila ang ipepeg ko for our retirement home. Hehehe.

Here is the morning shot of the entire property...

They have nice landscaping too! See the structure below? It's a bird aviary! Ang bongga di ba?

They have a pond with huge kois.

They even have ducks, chickens and rabbits around too...

A side kuwento: Ang bilis pala tumakbo ng rabbit ano? May rabbit kasing nakatambay, I want to get it so that I can bring it to the kulilits. I chased it, pero I failed to get it.

So that's the part 1 of our trip...
