Adventures in Marinduque: Going There

Since flights going to Marinduque were already discontinued, we had no choice but to go there via RORO. We brought our car na rin with us para mas convenient sa amin since we have toddlers with us and dala namin ang buong bahay when we travel. Hehe.

We left Las Pinas at around 6:30am. The original plan actually is 5:30am kaso lang puyat sila Mama G because they went to a wake the night before. Sayang nga ang gising ko eh. I woke up pa naman at 4:00am.

The traffic going to Dalahican Port in Lucena, Quezon was terrible.

We arrived at Dalahican Port at around 9:45am. Saktong sakto kami! We just secured permits for our car and pay the necessary fees. If you bring a car nga pala, 2 adult passengers are free already. So we only paid for 3 adults and around P2k plus for the car. By the way, for the students and senior citizens, don't forget to ask for discount. Hehehe.

We rode the Virgen de Pena Francia...

Here are we inside the car paying the fees while on queue...

We stayed on the 3rd level of the RORO since sabi nila mas presko "raw" kaysa sa airconditioned portion.

While waiting, we were entertained by the Badjaos. They kept on saying "Hagis! Hagis!" They were asking for some coins and food from the passengers to throw to them and they'll dive for it.

Picture picture muna kami...

Me and the kulilits watching the Badjaos...

Mama G bought several packs of kalamay to throw to the Badjaos. Nasales talk kasi ng tindero eh. Bumili na lang daw siya ng P100.00 worth ng pagkain at least sigurado raw na kakainin kaysa daw sa pera na ihahagis na baka ipangsugal lang ng mga Badjao.

Here we are approaching Marinduque...

We arrived at Marinduque past 1:30pm already. Ang bagal talaga ng RORO! Parang masmabilis pang magswimming si Eric Buhain eh. Hahaha.

This towering figure of Mama Mary welcomed us at Balacanan Port...

Balacanan Port is very clean. I hope that they can maintain it.

Grabe ang biyahe namin ano? More than 6 hours from Las Pinas to Marinduque. Take note, wala pa yung travel time namin going to Bellarocca niyan ha.
