A Real Family Sunday: Kiddie Party + Manila Zoo + Early Dinner

This Sunday is kinda' different. It's kinda' special for me since it only happens once in a blue moon. You know why? Hubby has only one in-patient who is already stable that's why hubby, I and the Kulilits had a whole day of bonding today.

We went first to the 7th birthday of Mai Mai, daughter of hubby's med school barkada, at Wheatberry in Quezon City.

After the birthday party, we went to Manila Zoo since the Kulilits keep on asking us to bring them to a zoo.

Here are the fees in Manila Zoo...

So cheap right? In fact, we were only charged P100.00.

Here is hubby with the Kulilits...

Me and the Kulilits...

We brought the Kulilits' strollers so that we will not be obliged to carry them. Hehe.

Guess what happened after we take these  souvenir photos with the Kulilits? We thought it was raining. But NO! It's not rain... but bird SHIT!!! It seems that birds in Manila Zoo have LBM because bird shit are all around. So this is a warning for you guys. In case you want to go to Manila Zoo, bring an umbrella! Haha!

Here are some of the photos that I took inside Manila Zoo:

A Hippo...

An Elephant...

A big bird (I forgot the name. Hehe!)...

The reptile house...

Philippine Deers...

A crocodile...

Guinea Pigs...

A Bear Cat...

Boat riding...

What did I notice about Manila Zoo today compared XX years ago?

  • Animals are lesser now. There are no more giraffes, tigers, gorilla, etc.
  • Animals are old already.
  • Animals are skinny.
  • Animals does not come in pair anymore.
Well, what do you expect right? The entrance fee is only P40.00. I have no right to complain. But, in fairness, Manila Zoo is clean and it's not that smelly. =)

Aside from that, the P100.00 that we paid is nothing compared to what we got after our trip there: Kulilits' experience, Kulilits' wide smiles, Kulilits' big amazed eyes and family bonding. PRICELESS indeed!

After Manila Zoo, we passed by AZH so that hubby can have a quick visit of his in-patient. I requested him to bring Ian with him so that Ian will have an idea about hubby's job. Then when hubby and Ian went back to the car, Chris told hubby that he is next. He wanted also to go inside the hospital and check his daddy's patient. To be fair, hubby also brought Chris inside the hospital.

Before going home, we decided to eat early dinner at Chicken Deli and I'll tell you more about it soon.

That goes our Sunday! I wish that all our Sundays will be like this. =)
