Look what I got for the kulilits! I got them some educational charts from National Bookstore. I read it somewhere kasi na masmataas ang recall kapag parating nakikita ng mga toddlers ang mga bagay bagay eh. Since gusto ko maging henyo ang kambalistik kulilits, I bought them these...
Hehehe.

Credit Card Annual Fee Waived!
Yahoo! I'm so happy today. My request for the annual fee waiver of my Standard Chartered Bank credit card is granted. P 1,200.00 din yun ha. Pambili rin ng milk ng mga kulilits.
It really pays to have a good credit standing. Ako kasi, I always pay my credit card in full and before its due date. Once nag-cut-off na, I pay it immediately the following day.
Kaya you guys, if you know you have a good credit standing with your bank, you can always request for the waiver of your credit card annual fee. If your request is not granted upfront, you ask for options. Sometimes kasi banks give credit card holders options in order for the annual fee to be waived. Examples are spending requirement, enrollment to automatic bills payment or increase in credit limit.
How about you? How do you save on credit card fees? Give naman some tips! =)

Kulilits Video: Twin's Latest Conversation
I read in a book about twins that twins have their own conversation that nobody can understand. Just recently, I witnessed one of my kulilit's conversation. I don't understand what Chris is saying but it seems that they are having a fun time since they are laughing out loud.
Smart Buys from SM
Ever since, I don't really invest that much on clothing. Hindi ako mabrand na tao when it comes to clothes. As long as it is trendy, comfortable and affordable okay na sa akin. I remember way back in college, I shop my clothes at Divisoria. Bakit kamo? Here are the reasons:
1. Yung budget mo malayo ang mararating.
We don't have a uniform sa UP. So ibig sabihin, kailangan ko ng maraming damit and ang note ko sa sarili ko is as much as possible, hindi ako mag-uulit ng damit in one month. So perfect ang Divi kasi ang 1 branded na damit is equivalent na to 4 to 6 pieces of clothing.
2. Normally ang mga damit sa Divi is from Bangkok, Hong Kong and Korea.
Bangkok, Hong Kong and Korea is known for their trendy clothes. I even know people of high social status which prefer to shop sa mga tiangge since mas up to date daw sa fashion.
3. Trend in clothing changes a lot
Aminin, di ba as much as possible, lalo na for the ladies, pag may event ayaw niyo na mag-ulit ng damit?
4. Sa nagdadala lang yan!
Hindi pa ako katabaan nung college days ko so it is easy for me to buy nice and trendy clothes. Hindi naman sa pagmamayabang, minsan akala ng classmates ko ang mahal ng suot ko and they even coined me fashionista that time. Pero those were the days... Ngayon, trinitry ko na lang. Ang hirap kasi magbihis ng mataba eh. So note to myself: Magpapapayat na ako talaga!
Hubby and I will be going to Puerto Princesa this weekend. Wala na akong damit! Puro yun at yun na lang ang sinusuot ko since I'm so tamad na to buy clothes because of my FIGURE. So I decided to go to SM and shop for some clothes.
I even went to the plus size section sa department store. May iba na medyo okay, pero when I tried it, lalo akong nagmukhang malaki. I started to panic na pero buti na lang may Smart Buys section sa SM. Mura na, kasya pa sa akin. Hehehe.
Here are my loots...
Uber comfy loose polkadots blouse
Printed satin-like blouse.
Girly blouse (I don't know what word to describe this)
Another girly blouse (since it fits me well)
Believe me or not, I only got these items for less than 2k.

Confrontation Wednesday
It is very hard to confront people if you want to tell them that what they are doing is not good anymore. Much more if they are older than you, not well-educated and has a spirit of poverty. Yung tipo ba na you have to think of right words to say in order for them not to be offended.
Ganito kasi ang story...
Way back, Manang complained that she has a backache. So in order for her to be relieved, I offered her to use my muscular balm - something like a Tiger Balm (Note that this muscular balm was given to me by my mom since I usually suffer from a migraine attack). After she used it, I forgot to keep it in our room.
I then noticed that she kept on using it every night. So in order to save the balm from total depletion, I immediately kept it inside my cabinet.
One time, she used the balm without my permission and just said that one of my twins got it from the cabinet and opened it. Hay naku, ano ako tanga (excuse me for the word), as if naman mabubuksan yun ng 1 year old eh tightly sealed yun. There was a time also na di na siya nakatiis at hinihiram sa akin yung balm. Eh napapansin ko na napapadalas and ang term niya is "hiram." So I told to myself na if manghiram ulit paringgan ko na lang muna at baka sakaling tamaan. So dumating yung point na nanghiram ulit. So I told her, "Manang, hindi yan hinihiram kasi ang hiram naibabalik, so hingi yan since nauubos." I thought nagets niya ang ibig kong sabihin. But NO!
Eh that time nagkataon na masakit ang ankles and tuhod ko so I need to use it also. So kinuha ko sa room niya and to my surprise when I opened the jar, paubos na. I told to myself na hindi na tama yun dahil siya lang ang nakaubos and ako na may may-ari, twice ko pa lang nagamit yun.
I know na mura lang yun and it's just a small thing. In simple terms, huwag naman abusuhin. I know na pwede ko rin naman ibigay na lang yun, but bigay yun ng mom ko eh and she bought it pa from China. I told my hubby about it and asked him if it's right to tell Manang na since madalas na kailangan niya, bumili na lang siya. He told me na it is alright to tell Manang about it and for her to know her limitations na rin.
So this morning, I kinausap ko si Manang ng mahinahon at may konting lambing.
Me: Manang, may sasabihin ako sa iyo.
Manang: Ano yun?
Alam niyo yung ganong feeling? So I called my hubby and told him na parang sumama ang loob ni Manang dahil hindi nagkikikibo. He told me na wala namang masama sa ginawa ko and huwag ko na lang pansinin. He even reminded me that familiarity breeds contempt.
Buhay nga naman oh, parang life!
Kayo, how do you handle this kind of situation?

Kulilits Video: Patay Kang Langaw Ka!
I have these two new fly swatters to be given to my mom. Nakita ng mga kulilits, so I gave it to them to see what they are going to do with it. To our surprise, marunong gumamit ang mga kulilits.
Check it out...

Kulilits Video: The Kulilits Before They Go to Sleep
I want to share you a video of my kulilits before they go to sleep...
Super sa kulit di ba? Kaloka talaga!

The Mistress
Jologs kung jologs! Pero I like John Lloyd Cruz and Bea Alonzo's love team. Hahaha. In fact, nung nagbubuntis ako, aside from the kalihim bread silang dalawa ang pinaglilihian ko. Eh now, may new movie sila and I can't wait to watch it.
Me: Be, may new movie si John Lloyd and Bea, The Mistress po, panuorin natin ha.
Doc Padu: Sige
Hahaha.
Oh di ba? Go na go rin si hubby. Anyway, I watched the full trailer sa YouTube.
If you haven't watch the trailer, here it is...

Bad Tindero to Good Tindero
Di ba in my previous blog about the bad tindero of alupihang dagat I told you na babalikan ko siya para pagsabihan? Well, I just did this morning when I went to the wet market. Nakita ko si Manong and I politely told him na "Manong, bakit ganon, yung last na binili ko sa inyo puro sira, di tuloy halos nakain." And he answered "Ay ganon ba? Ilan nga ba kinuha mo nun? Kalahating kilo di ba?"
So that's it. Pinalitan niya yung nabili ko before. Sinigurado na niyang ok yung binigay niya sa akin this time.

Usapang Mag-Asawa: Puerto Princesa Part 2
We will go again to Puerto Princesa this Friday. This time, kami lang ni hubby ang aalis (iwan ang mga kulilits) for our second honeymoon. Joke! Joke! Joke! My hubby will attend a convention there kasi. So while talking about it awhile ago...
Doc Padu: Be, magHohonda Bay ulit tayo and Underground River sa Puerto Princesa.
Me: Ha!?!
Nung nandun tayo, wala akong ibang gustong makita kundi CR eh.
Me & Doc Padu: Hahaha
Eto kasi ang kwento: In Puerto Princesa, may exotic dish sila which is called "Tamilok". Lasa raw siyang oyster and it is an aphrodisiac. So my dad jokingly said to hubby that he will buy him that (alam mo na! Hehehe). My hubby agreed. So they bought one order para matikman lang. So the following day, nagrumble na ang tyan ni hubby. Hahaha...

Santa Vittoria Iced Tea from Standard Chartered Bank
I got some freebies again from Standard Chartered Bank. =) In exchange of P2,500.00 worth of purchases, I got to get 2 bottles of Santa Vittoria Iced tea from The Wine Depot. Kainis lang since you are limited to 3 transactions only. It means to say that I need to go back there to exchange my other charge slips.
Anyway, it is still for free! Cool huh?

Portable ECG Machine
A certain pharmaceutical company has a program for new cardiologists wherein they give out portable ECG machines. Since my hubby is a new cardiologist, he got one too. =)
It was last Friday when the machine was awarded to him. My hubby asked me to come with him during the awarding of the machine at Omikase (located at Molito Alabang).
The med reps ordered a lot of food. Hehehe. We had Sushi Deluxe, Sukiyaki, Rib-Eye Steak, Asupara Beef Roll, Chicken Teriyaki, Ebi Tempura and Salmon Teppan. Dami talaga no? Hindi nga namin naubos eh.
Chika chika muna, then after the dinner, the ECG machine was given to hubby na. We just opened the box when we arrived home and here is the picture of the ECG machine...

Adventures in Puerto Princesa: The Damage
I want to share you the approximate damage per pax (in Philippine Peso) of our recent trip in Puerto Princesa.
Airfare: 1,336.18 (Cebu Pacific Promo Fare)
Hotel & Tour Package for 4 days and 3 nights: 5,000.00 (Package includes Underground River Tour with lunch, Honda Bay Tour with Lunch, City Tour, Breakfast, transfers, permits and entrance fees)
Other Tour: 1,100 (Firefly watching with Dinner)
Food: 800.00 (3 Dinner and 1 Lunch)
Over-all: P8,236.18 (without the pasalubong and shopping)
Not bad di ba for a hassle free trip? Pero if you are on a shoestring budget, you can further reduce it pa by not availing of the tour package (you'll do everything on your own). But this is recommended for a group of 6 or more.

Adventures in Puerto Princesa: Food Trip
Our trip in Puero Princesa will not be complete without the food trip. =)
Food Trip No. 1 : Baywalk
The baywalk area has a long strech of street food.
We checked the stalls one by one and we discovered the cheesy dynamite (green pepper with cheese rolled in lumpia wrapper). It is so delish! Only P5.00 per stick.
Here are some other tusok tusok food... kwek kwek, hotdogs, fishballs, etc.
Ihaw-ihaw... barbecue, isaw, etc.
Not an ordinary fishball. They made it from scratch. It's yummy also.
Fried isaw which my hubby tried.
For the finale, we ate our dinner here.
Our dinner...
Take note, our dinner is only P980.00. Ang mura right?
Food Trip No. 2: Ka Lui
Before leaving Puerto Princesa, we ate our dinner at Ka Lui.
Too bad I forgot to take pictures of our food (gutom na kasi...hehehehe). But I managed to take photos of the menu.
We ordered the following: Fish Cordon Bleu, Kalui Special of the Day Set, Palawan Seafood Sisig, All-Veggies Tempura and Sea Catch Tempura.
Lahat ng inorder namin masarap specially the Fish Cordon Bleu, kaya parang binagyo yung table namin. Hehehe. Aside from that, super mura pa ng food. Our bill is less than 2k lang.
Ka Lui is a very nice restaurant. Ang ganda ng interior niya. Nakaka-inlove. Here are some of the photos that I took.
Our table...
A mini-stage I think...
A specialty store...
The kitchen...
Other side of the restaurant...
Waiting area outside the restroom. Again, I forgot to take a picture of the restroom. Sayang, ang ganda ganda pa naman and very extraordinary.
By the way, you are not allowed to wear shoes inside the restaurant. It means na either nakapaa lang or nakasocks sa loob. Bongga di ba?
Hopefully next time, we could try the other restaurant at Puerto Princesa. Eto lang natry namin since almost all the meals are already included in the package.

Store Finds: Foldable Food Cover
I used to have a food cover at home. Ang cute nga eh, yun yung parang chicken wire tapos may straw designs. 2 pa nga yun eh, kaso pinamigay ko na because it uses a lot of space sa house (kalat baga) and it attracts alikabok.
Now, I tried to search for a foldable food cover and found it only at Daiso. So if it is from Daiso, it means that it is only P88.00. Cheap right?
Here it is...
LOL! Though the design is not that attractive, it serves it purpose naman and you can keep it when not in use. Ika nga nila, substance over form.

Adventures in Puerto Princesa: The Tour (A Photoblog)
Aside from the tour, we went to Puerto Princesa to celebrate Mama G's birthday. Here is a photoblog of our adventures in Puerto Princesa.
Day 1: Arrival
We arrived at Puerto Princesa past 7:00pm already. We just checked-in at our hotel, ate dinner and rested.
Day 2: Underground River Tour
We departed from our hotel at around 7:30am since the travel time to Sabang Wharf is approximately 2 hours.
We waited for about 30 minutes to be transferred via boat ride to the Puerto Princesa Subterranean River National Park.
On our way to the Underground River.
We had our family picture taken at the Underground River entrance.
Boat ride inside the Underground River.
After the Underground River Tour, we went back to Sabang Wharf to eat our lunch.
I want to share you the photos of our kulilits while waiting for our ride back to our hotel.
Aren't they so adorable?
Day 3: Honda Bay Tour
At around 7:15am we travelled to Honda Bay for our island hoping. Our first stop is at Pambato Reef where we did some snorkling.
Yes, my kulilits went swimming there too! They were so happy the moment they went into the deep water.
Our next stop is at Luli Island. It is a private island actually. It is called "Luli" in short of lulubog lilitaw. We saw some starfish and the kulilits did not bother to hold them.
I just realized in this picture that we are still wearing our life vest despite of the shallow waters. Hehehe.
The island is somewhat like the white island in Camiguin. The water is so clear wherein you could see a lot of fishes near the sea shore.
Our last stop is at Pandan Island. It is called "Pandan Island" because it has a lot of pandan trees. Likewise, the beach is so clean and the waters are very clear.
We had our lunch there too. It is included in the tour package. They grilled the fish and pork on the spot. My favorite here is the eggplant. I liked the way they cooked it.
After lunch, we rested for a while and then went back to our hotel.
The playground wherein the kulilits enjoyed.
Rest area where there is a sungka.
Old restaurant.
Other areas of Baker's Hill which is worth taking pictures of.
The house of the owner.
The main restaurant.
Note: Please don't forget to buy ube hopia at Baker's Hill.
After going to Baker's Hill, we went to Mitra's farm. We just had a family picture there since tourists are no longer allowed to enter the rest house due to security reasons.
Here is the view of Mitra's farm.
We went also to the crocodile farm.
Had some pictures with a Palawan bearcat. P20.00 is charged for picture taking.
We also had pictures with a 1 year old crocodile. P30.00 is charged for picture taking.
We went also to the Binuatan Weaving Creations and bought some items there.
The kulilits tried to weave here.
We passed by the Baywalk to take some pictures. It is nicer to go there at night because of the colorful lightings. Palawan's Baywalk is like our Baywalk along Roxas Boulevard minus the stinky smell and dirty waters.
We went to the Immaculate Conception Cathedral.
The facade of Plaza Cuartel. Nothing much to see here.

Day 4: City Tour
We checked out from our hotel first before proceding with our city tour. We had lunch at Baker's Hill. According to our tour guide, the owner of Baker's Hill is from Taguig.
Here are some pictures that we took from the place.

We went also to the Binuatan Weaving Creations and bought some items there.
