Kulilits Moments: Ian Palusot

Si Ian, mukhang nagmana sa kanyang Tito Ninong Paolo (Peace Kuya Pao!). Sobrang hilig magpalusot. It's either ayaw niya mapahiya or ayaw niya mapagalitan. Here are some scenarios:

Scenario 1: Ian Fell from the Bed

Ian was playing on our bed. Suddenly, he outbalanced and fell on the floor.

Me: See!
Ian (pretending to get his toy): Mommy, I'm just getting my toy...

Scenario 2: Ian Fell from the Dining Chair

Ian was standing up on our dining chair. When he was about to go down, he accidentally slipped.

Me: Be careful, anak.
Ian (pretending to crawl): Mommy, I'm just doing like this...

Scenario 3: Water Spilled on the Stairs

Ian: Daddy, look... The water spilled on the stairs. The monster pushed me!

Scenario 4: Water Spilled on Chris

Ian accidentally pushed Chris that's why the water spilled on his face. Naturally, Chris cried.

Me: What happened Chris? Why did the water spill? Who did that? Daddy or Kuya?
Chris (crying): Kuya
Me: What did Kuya do to you?
Chris: He pushed me.
Me: Ian, why did you push Chris?
Ian: I did not push him. The monster pushed him.

Scenario 5: Ian Jumping on the Bed

While Ian is Jumping on the bed...

Doc Padu: Ian, stop jumping on the bed.
Ian: I'm not jumping, I'm bouncing!

Hehehe!

Kidding aside, I'm a little bit worried. Alarming na ba yan? Baka kasi mamaya hanggang pagtanda niya madala niya eh. In short, pagiging ma-pride na. Yun tipong ayaw tumanggap ng pagkakamali or kasalanan.

I actually, asked hubby about it. Sabi niya bata eh. Full of imagination lang daw. What do you think guys? What do I need to do?

Takaw Bangga

Kayo ba? Do you also believe sa mga car and mga taong takaw bangga?

Kulilits Moments: Chris Kulit

Between Ian and Chris, Chris is more pilyo and talkative.

Here are some of our recent conversations:

Scenario 1: Oaties Milk

Like in this case, he pronounces the word "milk" as "melk", Ewan ko ba kung saan niya nakuha yung pagpronounce niyang yun.

Me: Chris, do you want to drink Oaties milk?
Chris: Yes!
Me: Anak, say MILK.
Chris: MELK!
Me: It's not MELK anak. It's MILK. Say MILK!
Chris: MELK!
Me: I told you it's not MELK. MI-MI-MILK! Say MILK!
Chris: Just OATIES mommy!

Hahaha! By the way, he pronounces na the word MILK correctly. =)

Scenario 2: Dirty Ice Cream

Like the dirty ice cream, nakakain na sila before nun pero di nila alam yung tawag. Alam lang nila na ice cream yun. In our lesson, we were discussing the color BROWN. I drew an ice cream. I told them that it is a chocolate ice cream. They want ice cream daw. Kaya ayun, I told them that we will eat a dirty ice cream. Kaya on our way to BFRV for their swimming lessons, sakto may mamang sorbetero kaya pinakain ko sila. I told them that it is just called dirty ice cream but it is clean.

Wait ang haba ng intro ko. So eto na ang conversation namin.

Chris: Mommy, this is a dirty ice cream but it is clean?
Me: Yes anak. It is clean. Is it yummy?
Chris: Yes... I love dirty ice cream mommy!

Naks naman sa comment ano? May nalalaman pang I love dirty ice cream. Take note, with matching feelings pa yan ha habang sinasabi niya na he loves dirty ice cream. Kanino kaya nagmana? Hahaha!

Scenario 3: Hungry Chris

Last Black Saturday, we stayed at my parents' house while waiting for hubby. So ayun, the usual, nakipagharutan sa Papa G nila. Then maya maya...

Chris: Papa G, I'm hungry!
Papa G: You're hungry?
Chris: Yes, let's eat downstairs Papa G.

I forgot na the details eh. In short, inaasar ni Mama G si Chris. Guess kung ano reaction ni Chris?

He just looked at Mama G for a while then sabay look kay Papa G while saying...

Chris: Let's go Papa G!

Deadma ano? Hehehe.

Road Trip and Food Trip on Christoff's 3rd Month

When hubby and I were still dating, we used to go places just to eat. As in yung food lang talaga yung dinadayo namin. Kahit saang lupalop pa yan, kapag natripan namin, wala kaming pakiaalam basta pupuntahan namin at kakain kami doon. Hahaha!

That's why one time, while hubby and I were talking, we agreed that we will go road and food tripping with the kids one weekend. Kaya naalala namin bigla ang Lipa. Namiss namin yung lomi doon eh (the best lomi that we've ever tasted). Sakto rin because one of the Ninong of Christoff is based there kaya maidadaan na rin namin yung invitation for the dedication of Christoff.

That weekend came and off we went to Lipa. That weekend was extra special too because it was the 3rd month birthday of our bunso which we celebrated there.

Here is hubby, enjoying the Star Tollway...

First, we dropped off the invitation to Christoff's Ninong. Then we went to D' Lover's Lane Bibingkahan to buy some bibingka. It's just a small store and I discovered it many years ago when I accompanied my mom at Lipa DTI. Lakad lakad lang ako that time and napansin ko yung store. I got curious so I tried out their bibingka. Nasarapan ako kaya I introduced it to my mom. From that time on, we always buy there every time nagagawi kami sa Lipa.

Here is the D' Lover's Lane Bibingkahan...

Here's what inside...

They use the traditional way of cooking bibingka...

Here is where they place the cooked bibingka...

You can pair the bibingka with their free salabat (which is actually yummy)...

After the bibingkahan, we searched for the lomi house where we used to eat. Unfortunately, we went around twice and we weren't able to find it. Siguro lumipat na sila and nag-upgrade na. Pero fail talaga eh. Kaya we ended up eating lomi at Lomi King near La Salle Lipa.

We ordered the following:

Super Seafood Lomi...

P105.00

Seafood Chami...

P95.00

and Butter Toast...

P50.00 (2 orders)

When our orders came, we sang a birthday song to the celebrant. He was still smiling here...

and during our family photo shot, the celebrant was cranky already plus the frowning boys because they just came from sleep...

About the food at Lomi King, the taste is very far from the lomi house that we used to eat. Their lomi is very thick, ang dami atang cornstarch na nilagay eh. Plus, medyo nahilo kami ni hubby after eating, mukhang madaming vetsin yung food. Kaya feeling ko, it will be the first and last time namin kakain dun.

Though medyo fail yung food trip namin sa Lipa, we were still happy that time kasi nakapagbonding na naman kami and very unique din yung celebration ng monthly birthday ng aming bunso.

The 4th month birthday of Christoff will fall on Holy Wednesday. Ano kaya ang gimmick namin that day? Any suggestion?

A Very Blessed Sunday

I really love Sundays! That's the only time kasi na nakakapagbond kami as a family. But if hubby has a patient or a backlog, adjust adjust na lang siya so that he can maximize his time for us.

Like last Sunday, the original plan was (1) we will eat at Cecile's restaurant for lunch (since they have Sunday P200.00 eat-all-you-can lunch buffet promo), (2) we will go to AZH for hubby's hospital rounds, (3) we will go with my parents at S&R, (4) we will go to my in-law's house to deliver the balik bayan box, (5) we will go to SRHMC for hubby's hospital rounds and (6) we will go to ATC for the DrummUnity event. Since hubby has a backlog, nag-iba yung plans. We weren't able to eat na at Cecile's because the buffet is until 1:00pm only. Instead, we just went with my parents at S&R since last day na ng Members' Treat.

My dad was in the mood that time to shop. Hehe. =) Look here, all smiles ang brother ko...

Here are my loots that day (few lang naman and mostly for the Kulilits):

Fiber Cloth...

Floor Mat...

Mouth Wash...

Egg Platter...

Royal Dansk Luxury Wafers...

Nutella...

Jules Destrooper Speculoos...

Nestle Chuckie...

Lava Cake...

Gardenia Bread...

Cage-Free Eggs...

Starbucks Frappucino...

After S&R, we went to my in-laws in Laguna to deliver the balik bayan box. =) Then to SRHMC for some patient rounds.

Our next stop is at Alabang Town Center to attend the DrummUnity event. Unfortunately, we weren't able to catch it because it was too hard to park.

The Kulilits just played with different percussion instruments...

We then had our dinner at Abe Restaurant...

While waiting for our food, they gave us some kropek...

that the boys happily munched...

We ordered the following:

Suam of Fresh Corn...

Pritong Baby Hito...

Manok sa Luyang Dilaw...

Here's our family photo that day...

I didn't like the food that much. I find it bland kasi eh. Unlike hubby, he really enjoyed the food, specially the hito with buro. I don't know with that guy, talaga atang may vetsin sa dila eh. Hehe. Hehehe.

Then when we went home, may mga pahabol blessings pa for the Kulilits from Mama G and here they are:

Box of Brownies...

Ripe Mangoes...

Spiderman Shirts...

Garfield Shorts...

Maong Walking Shorts...

That's it! A very blessed Sunday indeed!

BBB Project

Remember, I have a secret project that I mentioned in my blog post here. Well, it's our BBB or Balik Bayan Box project.

Why Balik Bayan Box?

That is because we want to grant our parents' wish to receive a Balik Bayan Box from their own children.

I remembered kasi the exchange of comments of my mom and my MIL way way back. It's like my mom is making parinig to my brother, who lives in the US, that she never received a Balik Bayan Box from him. Then my MIL also commented na pareho lang daw sila ni mother kasi she never received also a Balik Bayan Box from my brother-in-law who is working in Singapore. Hehe.

So there, I mentioned to my mom na ako na lang kaya ang magpadala sa kanya ng Balik Bayan Box. She thought that I was just kidding but sinerioso ko yun. As in kinareer ko ang BBB project.

Every time we do grocery shopping, I made sure that I'll buy something also for the boxes. Hehe.

Anyway, seeing our parents' reactions when they received their balik bayan boxes is PRICELESS. Worth it lahat ng effort namin. =)

First, when I brought the box to my parents' house. It was very late in the evening na that time. My mom thought that the box came from my brother. She wouldn't believe that it came from us. Hehe!

She even posted it on Facebook...

The next delivery is to my in-laws. Hehe.

Here are the photos of my in-laws with their box via hubby's Instagram account:

Balikbayan Box from the Pinas...

Pangkabuhayan package...

Ang sarap lang ng feeling when we saw our parents very happy when we surprised them with the boxes. =)
