A Fully Booked Father's Day

Last Father's day is a very hectic day for me. Ang daming activities that day eh. Early in the morning, I went to Wilcon in Alabang to buy some tiles for our bathroom. As in kabubukas pa lang nila andun na ako. Need ko kasi makabalik ng house by 11am eh.

Then, since maaga aga ako nakabalik ng house, I hurriedly went to SM Southmall to buy our Father's Day gift for Papa G. Kay Papa G lang dahil na-advance na namin gift namin kay Lolo Em.

When I arrived home, we went na to Mandarin Palace in BF Paranaque to celebrate Father's day. We have a 12:30pm reservation kasi doon. Actually, a week before pa kami nagpareserve. Good thing na nagpareserve kami kaagad kasi ang dami nang tao na nakapila when we arrived there.

Mandarin Palace serves authentic Chinese cuisine. Halata naman sa aura ng restaurant eh.

Here are what we ordered:

Spinach with Seafood soup...

P375.00

Ang funny ng color ano? Hindi appetizing tignan. Well, masarap sana siya except ang dali niyang lumamig.

Large Salted Fish Fried Rice...

P500.00

Their fried rice is good. It's not that salty. Tamang tama lang yung blend ng flavors.

1 Whole Peking Duck (Two Way)...

P999.00

Their pecking duck is on promo kaya mura lang siya. It's actually two way, I forgot lang to take a photo of the duck skin in a wrap. Haha. Their duck is good also except for the the duck skin. Hindi masyadong crunchy eh unlike the other wraps that I tasted.

Medium Seafood Pancit Canton...

P375.00

As always, Chinese style pancit canton never fails me. Hindi kasi siya dry and I love the taste of the noodles plus sinamahan pa ng fresh seafood. Yummers!

Medium Mixed Vegetables and Mushrooms (Lohanchay)...

P375.00

This one is good also. Anything with mushrooms and broccoli is yummy for me. =)

Medium Camaron...

P525.00

For their camaron, nothing special. Ang liit kasi ng ginamit na shrimps eh. Sabi prawns daw pero hindi naman.

Steamed Lapu Lapu (around 600g)

P900.00

This one is really really good! Sarap to the fish bones talaga! The lapu lapu is fresh. Wala kang malalasahang lansa.

Aside from the food above, we also ordered siomai (P88.00 per order) and buchi (P60.00 per order). Plus our drinks which are mostly bottomless iced tea which is only P65.00 and Coke in can (P45.00).

Overall, the food is great! With the price naman, medyo napamahal lang ang bill namin dahil mahal yung mga inorder namin. Di ba sa peking duck and lapu lapu pa lang umabot na ng 2k? Pero if you check the prices in their menu, mura lang naman talaga ang food nila. By the way, they also have rice toppings available.

Now, time for the obligatory family pictures. Hehe.

Here is a picture of my parents and my in-laws...

Mama G, Papa G, Lolo Em & Lola Es

Our family picture that day (incomplete)...

After lunch, we went to Bicutan to check out the items that were pulled out from Dusit Hotel. Then we went to McDonald's Bambang for the 7th birthday of Illa, my cousin's daughter and our inaanak.

One of the Kulilits, Chris, is part of the 7 roses. Siyempre, hindi kami prepared. Pinagsuot ko lang naman ng Americana ang mga anak ko. Hahaha! Kaya ang labas, mukhang pang GQ magazine ang mga Kulilits. Hehehe.

Check their photobooth picture...

I love the last picture!!!

So here is Chris dancing with Illa...

Ian got to dance with Illa too. I requested my cousin kung pwede isayaw rin niya yung celebrant. Kawawa naman kasi yung itsura niya after ng dance ni Chris kasi he was expecting to dance also. Ganun ata kasi talaga ang twins eh, dapat parati pareho or nagtatake turns. I dunno... Yung kasi ang experience ko with the Kulilits eh.

Another picture of the Kulilits with the celebrant and participants of the 7 roses...

At siyempre, hindi mawawala ang family picture ng mga Padusters sa photobooth...

After the party, we went to Krazy Garlik at Greenbelt 5 for our dinner with Pastor Bong and his sons because they will be leaving already to US the following day.

Here is our photo with Pastor Bong and his sons...

So that's our Father's Day! Hindi naman nakakapagod ano? How about you, how did you celebrate it?
